We've rented a Lucca mobile home (maxicaravan) which is pretty small, but has everything we need. Kitchen fully equipped. The main feature of the place for us was a kids entertainment - from 10 to 9 kids has something to do. The only free activity...More
We returned to Piannace again this summer having enjoyed it last year so much and again had a excellent stay.
We booked direct with the campsite as we wanted a 3 bedroomed mobile home and by booking direct you get a wider choice.
This is a lovely campsite in the Tuscan hills a few km from the coast. Very shady and lots of lovely pine trees and pretty flowers add to the beauty. We stayed in the Glenya tent booked through the campsite website ... very well equipped...More
We've just returned from 12 nights in the XXL tent. The site is located in the trees on the (very steep) hillside. It's quite shady so you don't come back to a boiling tent at the end of the day, and has some amazing views...More

We have stayed here 2 times. The 1st time we didn't have a car and got the train from Pisa to Castagneto Carducci-Donoratico station where we got a taxi to the camp (there is a number on a sign outside the station)- there is no public bus or anything though if you do book direct with the camp they can potentially get the shuttle bus to pick you up from the station but they did say it was subject to availabilty. The taxi cost 25 euros with luggage and 20 without so maybe worth factoring that vs. cost of hiring a car.
We weren't there in September but at the end of August and the 1st year we did notice it get quieter the 2nd week we were there as there are a lot of Dutch people there and their kids had gone back to school.
