Spent a week around Easter. The location could not be better for skiers - the hotel is just next to the cable car and some of the rooms have great views and balconies to the skiing slope, while mountains must be visible from every room....More

I stayed there last year in mid June and the hotel owner said we must have brought the nice weather from California because the weather had just turned nice and warm the day before our arrival. The hotel and it's owners were awesome and the food was great. Very helpful for cyclist. We rode the Stelvio pass and it was a perfect day but the weather was much cooler on the mountain with snow still on the roadsides at the top. For reference of the weather in May, look at the Giro d'Italia which takes place in early to mid May. They have had to ride in cold, snowy conditions in the mountains surrounding that area during that time of year and have even had to re-route or cancel some stages because of terrible weather. It may be a little early to expect nice weather, but you might be fine. Just bring warm stuff in case.
