If travelling in Italy, don't overlook the Abruzzo region. It is worth your while to get off the beaten path and go into the heart of the country. It is a short drive 60 km. or so east of Rome. Last spring, our family of 15 visited Italy. We lodged at the Hotel Olimpia. This hotel is fabulous. Having attended...

Is the best hotel of avezzano supposed to be. Have to say the structure is older a bit but rooms and equipment was adequate. If you ask for a room on the other side of the road you will have a buitifull view on the mountains, especially nice evenings when the sun goes down. Breakfast like most Italian breakfast rather...

Value for money hotel with excellent hospitality, spacy and clean rooms, excellent in house pizzeria and a above average Italian breakfast. The beds need improvement the matrasses are too hard and thin.

After a cold welcome at the reception, I found a freezing room (it took hours to bring the temperature around 19°C) and took a warm shower in an icy bathroom (bare tub, no curtain: I transformed it into a cold swamp). Wifi signal was too bad to be usable for work, I had to use my phone in tethering. I...

It makes you feel safe and homey when you see the owners relatives around the hotel most of the time. Not only as staff but also visiting. I stayed in this hotel many times but this is the first time I write about it. I've always enjoyed the family owned, and operated, businesses. This one hits the mark. The hotel...

We stayed here with our friends and had a lovely visit. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the room was large, comfortable and clean and the sound insulation was good too. On the Saturday there was a wedding in the grounds outside our window and we were a bit worried that there might be some noise but our...

We stayed at the hotel during the night of 14th february. The staff was professional and polite. The room (a superior) was large and clean like the bathroom with a comfortable hot tub. The breakfast buffet was not continental, but it was full of delicious savory and sweet dishes. Overall the stay was great.

We stayed at this hotel in a group of about 30 persons. The staff could not have been more helpful or polite. They catered for our large group easily and the food was consistently good. Rooms were spacious and clean and had great views of the mountains. The only downside is the location. Right next to a busy road and...

Last July we explored the Abruzzo-region. Our first residence was the Olimpia Hotel. Why did we choose this location ? Very simple. Last year during the exploration I stayed already in this hotel and had no complaints. Although the hotel is located near a road with a lot of economic activity, inside the hotel you are not affected by it,...

this place seems a bit overpriced for a hotel in such a small village. The pizza from the restaurant down stairs are not the best in town but are acceptable. Room is comfortable and the breakfast is typical for Italy.
