We had the most marvelous 4 days at this incredible resort. Besides being an absolute paradise the crew was amazing. They couldn’t do enough to make us super satisfied all day every day, nothing was too much for them. The 2 chefs cooked for us 5-star gourmet food 3 times a day, our game ranger (and site manageress) Christelle spoiled us rotten with daily game drives, the room was immaculate, clean, spacious overlooking a magical view with a variety of animal crossing our deck from time to time. we arrived as they opened up after covid lockdown. we were the only guests at the hotel so we had 2 top chefs cooking for us 3 gourmet meals a day, a barman, 2 cleaners, and a ranger at our service. the room was absolutely beautiful, spacious overlooking the entire valley, private pool etc... the food was outstanding and the game drives were nice but limited number of animals - so don't expect much from the game drives although the ranger was outstanding and couldn't do enough for us. this venue is super expensive and designed for mega-rich tourists unless you a get 70% discount package like we did.

This privately owned park is wonderful. Just 6 rooms. Everything is very personal and the staff are exceptional. Wonderful to have the safari experience without hoards of people The suites are beautiful, the food superb and nothing is too much trouble There were only 6 of us staying and so the drives and meal times were always our choice

I had the trip of a lifetime at Hopewell! Traveled with my Fiancée for 3 nights and the whole stay was a 5 star Experience! From check-in, our suite was very clean, spacious and luxurious with all that we needed. On the first night we had dinner in the Boma whilst the elephants were drinking water about 100 metres away, this was a perfect start to the stay. The meals from Chef John and Chef Kuhle were divine, always something to look forward to. Game drives were exciting and very informative from Tim, who made sure to tell us all the interesting facts about plants and birds as well. To summarise it all, Hopewell ticked all the boxes and will definitely return !

Thank you for providing SA citizens with this reduced rate special. It was an amazing experience to view the animals, birds, plants and trees up close and get so much information and sharing. The guide and all personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodation and food was wonderful and again Chef Johan and bartender Nceba are great professionals with a personal touch, always with big smiles. It really felt like a wonderful spoilt escape out in the wild but still with all the luxuries one can except. Special thanks to our guide Christelle, you are so passionate and awesome and to the tracker Paulie, what a great humble and helpful person.

We greatly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The reserve is exclusive, with a maximum capacity of 12 guests, meaning you are passengers in the only game drive vehicle on the private reserve. We were initially on our own, and then joined by another couple, and four was the total number of guests. You’re certainly the centre of attention. The pool villas are spectacular, and the food is excellent, with a choice available upon request. The single hardworking ranger, Timothy, who doubled as barman and waiter, is both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We only missed out on one of the species available during our six game drives. Overall, a definite 5* stay, but I give it 4*. My 1* deduction, however, is due to our seeing a FB promotion available only to SA residents during our stay, at ONE THIRD of the price that we paid! This upsetting discrimination would not be legal in Europe, and such a covert two tier pricing system is very unfair to overseas visitors. I raised this as a feedback comment on their website, but did not receive even the courtesy of an acknowledgement, let alone a defence. I guess there isn't one.

Super exclusive experience. Staff and guides Christelle and Pauli were amazing. Very flexible and eager to give you a great bush experience. Professional chefs made each meal a fine dining experience. The accommodation is out of this world with own splash-pool and private deck overlooking the water hole. My wife and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary at the magnificent Hopewell Private Game reserve. We were made to feel very welcome by Christelle, Pauli, John and Mary. Hopewell is true luxury set in a diverse and expansive reserve. The beautifully appointed rooms are very comfortable and the food healthy and delicious. The game drives were comfortable and Pauli and Christelle made them interesting and informative. We would love to return in the near future.
