Some places we do not merely visit, we become a part of! Places that touch your spirit, and replenish your soul. Where time fades, and your only schedule is the turning of the tides!
Welcome to an undiscovered Beach Resort Sri Lanka paradise. Welcome to Talalla. Talalla retreat is a boutique hotel, offering barefoot rustic charm on the Southern Beaches of Sri Lanka. The retreat sits on Talalla Beach, an undiscovered cove of crystal clear turquoise water, spotless golden sand and mesmerizing sunrises and sunsets. Of all the resorts in Sri Lanka, Talalla offers its guests a level of elegant simplicity just metres from the lapping waters of a secluded cove. Here, time is measured in moments of serenity and pleasure.
It is a place to get away from it all and to absorb the unsurpassed natural beauty of Sri Lanka. A jungle paradise, Talalla is built low rise, and set into lush gardens, resplendent with tropical flora. Monkeys play in the coconut palms as they sway softly in the breeze. Monitor lizards roam freely as they have since the days of the dinosaurs. Squirrels twitter as they dart through the grass. And at night, fireflies lightup the surrounds, guiding you lightly to your villa.... Relax in the 20 metre freshwater pool, swing in a hammock or lounge on a sunchair by day and by night indulge in a cocktail at the bar, or lounge on the sofa nearby. Sri Lanka’s best kept secret is waiting for you, are you ready to replenish your soul and get in touch with nature?
Great stay just after Sri Lanka re-opened for tourists with new covid procedures. Felt completely safe during the stay with all the procedures in places Lovely bedroom overlooking the sea, woken each morning by the sound of birds chirping. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Food was good in the restaurant and the service from Mahesh was excellent. Mahesh was always friendly, going the extra mile, chatting to guests. He was what made the retreat so special and personalised. Sadly couldn’t have a massage or yoga until after the 7 day covid test, which was understandable, so will definitely have to visit again.
As a large retreat group from the Capital Colombo we had 4 wonderful post-pandemic-days to reconnect with each other, with nature, the stunning empty beach of this beautiful bay. The team went out of their way to make this a perfect experience. The food was great, the hygiene measures and cleanliness top, the 3 yoga shalas are amazing, the pool and all facilities great for families, friends and individual hideaway spots. We will surely be back for more. Much gratitude team Talalla from team Prana Lounge
It was our first time in Sri Lanka, we spent one week in Talalla Retreat, we loved this place form the first day! Very comfortable accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, delicious and fresh local food and amazing beach! We'd love to go back there again...
We had read that Tallala offered one of the best, most unspoilt, beaches on the south coast and we were not disappointed. It is a beautifully undeveloped crescent of sand fringed by coconut palms. The Retreat has substantial grounds and beautiful well-kept gardens and the best swimming pool of any of the hotels we stayed in on our trip. Our first-floor room was open to the elements (beware of invading monkeys) which gave a very natural feel. Beds are equipped with good quality mosquito nets but we were not troubled by insects in March. The spacious open-air bathroom contributed positively too. There was a vibrant young clientele enjoying the on-site yoga and the surfing school facilities. This gave a very relaxed, international atmosphere and the staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The one disappointment was the quality of the food at breakfast and dinner. Compared with other similar establishments where we stayed that offered buffet style meals, both the range and the quality here could easily be improved. Consequently, on our second and third evenings, we chose to eat dinner at a restaurant further along the beach which provided superb authentic dining in a much more romantic setting for the same price!…
Perfect place, nice stuff members, delicious food, cute bamboo huts, offer yoga & surf camps! Try it I‘m here for the 2nd time again and I will return next year for sure. I don’t know any other place in Sri Lanka where it’s this beauty & nice
