At 95 Euro for a night this was extremely overpriced compared to anywhere else we have stayed in France in the April-May period. By way of comparison we stayed in two different Chateau's either night of our stay here, both within 50 kilometers of this one, both were 20 to 25 Euro cheaper and were both in a completely different...

Overnight stop on way to Vendee. The chateau is beautiful and although you don't stay IN the chateau - in converted outhouses - you get the romantic feel of the old house. Ours was a large family room with a mezzanine holding two single beds with a generous double below. Lovely bathroom with excellent walk in shower. We were greeted...

We spent one night here on our way to Spain. We'd visited 6 years before to taste the wine but couldn't stay and always wanted to return. We were greeted by Isobelle and offered a wine. As it was hot we headed for the pool. You are not staying in the chateau but the rooms are very nice with plenty...

Family travel in Europe is so much more of a challenge than in the US yet we found Chateau Rousselle on line and what a gem. The owners were warm and inviting, greeting us upon arrival with a glass of excellent wine from their vineyards. Our room was great for 4 and the pool was a nice bonus. The Bordeaux...

My wife and I stayed for two nights in July. On arrival we were given a glass of wine and a run down of the facilities. The room was spacious and clean. We spent one afternoon relaxing by and in the pool, which was much appreciated after a week in Paris. Isabelle and Vincent were great hosts a gave us...

This is an impressive large house with outbuildings comprising the accommodation. We stayed in a 4 bed room in one of the outbuildings. The room was pleasant, spacious and with a nice shower. However I did find a hair at the edge of a skirting board (it just happened I had placed by bag near it), suggesting the cleaning might...

We stopped here on route to Spain, one of the main reasons we chose it was because it allowed us to take our dog. Finding some where to eat on a Sunday in France is never easy but the owner pointed us in the right direction. It is in a beautiful location, the rooms are well equipped we had a...

My family and I stayed at Chateau Rouselle for one night in December and were very impressed with the quality and high standard of the accomodation, aesthetic of the winery and cellar, and mostly with the taste of the wine. We arrived and were greated by the owner, Vincent, and he showed us to our room. Then he invited us...

We stayed here for 2 nights this September, and really loved it. The Chateau is quite charming, with the accommodations separate from the main house. We arrived quite late, but we're greeted by the winemaker, who was very welcoming, and when he heard we had not had dinner, immediately insisted we hurry to Blaye before the restaurants closed, and gave...

This is a review of the château vineyard visit. We didn't actually stay in the accommodation. We called 3 days ahead to enquire about visiting the châteaux. The woman on the phone said of course but could we sent her an email because she was out to lunch and had no way of noting. We asked what time we should...
