Hotel is ideally situated for the fast trains into London. As the booking was part of a theatre weekend the hotel location was important. We’ve stayed here before and always had a good time, and a great sleep! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The competitive prices of the rooms and subsidised parking are a real bonus.

We have stayed here a few times and it was still amazing. We parked in the car park (make sure you validate your tickets at hotel - 24 hours cost £10 ).
We arrived at the hotel at 11, spoke to a guy, then spoke to Kat (also had spoken earlier in the morning re early check in & was ok to do). She managed to get our room ready in 10 minutes. It was clean and house keeping made up another bed while we was in the room.
The following day Kat greeted us for breakfast, breakfast was lovely and you can help yourself.
The hotel is situated on a high street, with shops, restaurants and cinema. The train station is about 10 minutes in taxi and you can get a direct train to Central London within 25 minutes.
Definitely will stay here again.

Centrally located in Orpington high Street. Basic but clean, serving an excellent choice of breakfast, the chief prepares your choice of eggs.Thinking of their carbon footprint the hotel requests that you let them know if you require more towels during your stay. Cutting down on the laundry.

I booked a 4 night stay in an accessible room during the holiday period for £269

The room had the following issues;
1. Awful smell due to clogged shower drain and sink drain. The receptionist was able to partially unclog the sink drain, but the other issue remained.
2. Mucoid substance coming out of the sink pipe, making the water in the room unusable (see attached pictures and videos). I had to resort to buying bottles of water to brush my teeth, wash my hands, etc.

I reached out to the hotel with the pictures and videos, and after a wait of almost 1 month, I was offered a "goodwill gesture" of £36. I wrote back saying that whilst I agree a full refund is not needed, the amount offered is almost insulting. The response I received was that they've considered my evidence but cannot do any more. I find this unacceptable for a hotel of such renown.

Book a stay at your own displeasure.

firstly be aware, there are no open windows so the air is being recycled and it’s not healthy or comfortable to stay in the room for long periods. the staff are hardly to be found, took ages to be seen to get checked in and every morning for breakfast i would have to wait a while for someone to cross my name off the list. there is no eggs available so that marketing option is a lie. the shower is not powerful at all. honestly the least you could have done is have windows that open even 5 cm, it’s so awful that’s there’s no fresh air at all. it’s really difficult for people like me who suffer with asthma and anxiety. there was only one person who genuinely seemed to care and that was the black lady chef (im so sorry i didn’t get your name) but i really am so appalled with this stay. was not worth anything over £100 and i paid over £200, i got mugged of my money.

In the centre of a pedestrian shopping mall with the car park attached, so convenient parking and getting the ticket validated meant it was only £1 for an overnight stay! The hotel was modern, fresh, clean and quiet. The meal deal is excellent value with a large choice of food, which was freshly cooked to order and delicious. All the staff were helpful and friendly making it a very happy experience.

My reason for staying was a visit to family in Orp[ington, so location was the maindriver for the booking.
We found the hotel both convenient and comfortable.
The facilities in the room provided everything we needed - working aircon, tv with plenty of channels, great shower, comfy bed (if a bit small - standard double when I would have preferred kingsize).
The full breakfast (at £10 each) was pretty good - I was pleased with the food quality and variety.
And the hotel subsidises overnight parking in the shopping centre carpark (just get your ticket validated at reception before paying for parking)

This hotel was clean and well situated for what we needed. But unfortunately the bed was terrible they obviously dont check their beds
The mattress was completely gone it dipped by a lot in the middle and we didn't get a good nights rest at all. We didn't need the other single bed that was in the room which was a good thing as it had been soaked and made the whole room smell aweful. Unfortunately there were no staff around to complain to just make sure you check the bed on checkin

The vending machine was broken but still able to take money. Staff fairly helpful, but needed a sign to say "Out of Order". No bottled water available. A kind member of staff gave me bigger glasses with ice on offer to drink tap water. I do think in a situation like that, free complimentary bottled water should be made available?!

recently stayed at the Premier Inn in Orpington and had a mixed experience. Let’s start with the positives. The hotel itself is quite good – the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially when compared to other hotels in the area. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable night’s sleep.

However, there were some notable issues. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready, which is understandable at times, but it was particularly stressful as we needed to prepare milk for our newborn. Such situations require a bit more urgency and understanding from the hotel staff.

The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the breakfast. It was a letdown, with most items left on the hot plate for too long, resulting in a less-than-appetizing meal that was too crunchy and frankly, quite unpalatable.

The area that really needs improvement is staffing. There seems to be a chronic shortage, with only one team member handling everything. This not only affects the efficiency of service but also makes simple requests, like asking for an extra pillow, take an unnecessarily long time to be fulfilled.

I also find all premier inns don’t have windows that open & the rooms are very stuffy and whilst all the rooms have air con. It doesn’t always work and can be very uncomfortable

Overall, while the Premier Inn Orpington has its strengths in terms of comfort and room size, they need to seriously address their staffing issues and the quality of their breakfast to provide a better guest experience.

You get a ticket when you park at the Walnuts and you get it validated in the Premier Inn before you leave which gives you free parking

Hi, The hotel is quite a way from Heathrow airport however, you can get from Heathrow Terminal 1-3 underground on the Piccadilly underground line to Leicester Square Station, from there you need to get the Northern line to Charring cross underground station then walk up to the Charring Cross overground station and get a train on the southeastern line to Orpington. Once in Orpington you need to get a bus from Orpington stop B to Walnuts Centre Stop T and then it is a 5 minute walk to the hotel. You can see the route on Google Maps and it is around a 1 hour 40 minute journey. You can also contact the hotel directly on 0333 234 6591 and they will be able to give any travel advice. Kind regards, James

Hi boobooboo99 Thanks for your query. There is no onsite parking at this hotel, they recommend using the Walnuts Shopping Centre car park (BR6 0TW) which is a multi storey. This costs £10 per 24 hours and is locked between 1am and 6am. Hope this helps. Regards Amy Premier Inn Team
