Our room overlooked a green valley and the hill beyond. While the room featured an outdoor shower, we did not use it because it was so easily visible from a neighboring room and nearby walkways. Our indoor shower also faced the outdoors, underneath another walkway. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable using this shower with the blind only partly drawn.

We liked the hotel in general, and especially enjoyed delicious and varied breakfasts.

One day, after a mountain-climbing excursion, we had a couples massage. The massage professionals here did an excellent job in a beautiful studio.

Como Uma Ubud is phenomenal. Once you arrive, you will not want to leave this luscious little haven situated a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud! My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon and booked a pool villa. The staff will make you feel like you are at home and there is nothing that is too much for them. Check in was seamless and refreshments are served when you arrive. The rooms are spacious and very beautiful - I loved the decor, the candles the staff light every evening and the huge bed. Breakfast is served a la carte to you and in beautiful surroundings. The spa is one of the best - do not leave without a massage or two!! We did a walking tour through the rice fields which was lovely and wish we had done more things like this with the hotel in hindsight. The italian restaurant is fantastic - make sure you go if you fancy a change from Balinese food! Everything is so perfect here, I will definitely be revisiting and recommending to my friends and family. What sets it apart are its genuinely caring staff. Hands down this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

It is a charming establishment with outside "gated" doors into each room, which are spacious with large bathrooms, terraces and an outdoor shower. There are actually two outdoor showers, because the one in the bathroom is outdoors as well, which was difficult at night because we were afraid of getting mosquito-bitten while showering in the evening. The room smelled of mildew, probably because the weather is so humid and the A/C didn't really dry out the room, although temperature-wise it was cold enough. There are A LOT of steps on the property, so it isn't for the mobility-impaired. I would say there were at least 50 steps to the room, which we had to climb to get to breakfast (which was an additional two flights of stairs). It's a nice hotel for those who are energetic and want to chill. Its location is not really a comfortable walking distance from the downtown (we're fast walkers, and it took us 45 minutes), which is where I probably would have preferred to stay given the traffic congestion getting in and out of downtown Ubud. The hotel has a shuttle to the town area, but it is only every two hours (takes about 10 minutes) and ends around 5:00 p.m.

Dear Travelpro56V, Thank you very much for staying with us at COMO Uma Ubud recently. Your very positive notes on stay are sincerely appreciated. Majority of our rooms are with very comfortable access to communal areas, however unfortunately you stayed in one of villas that needing you to pass some steps to go around the resorts. Your feedback on the humidity of the room is very well noted and we will do our level best to ensure our future guests will not experience the same. The change of the weather from wet season to dry is very challenging for us as we are located above the river bank. We have started trimming tall trees to allow sun lights and breeze to minimize humidity around our accommodations. We look forward to welcoming you back for another COMO experience soon. Warmest regards, Suteja, Gede General Manager

Loved staying here over New Years going into 2020. I picked the Como because of its central location (I HATE sitting in traffic and wanted the option of being able to walk to downtown Ubud) and was intrigued by there experience Como package - which was amazing. I brought my mom and we had 75 minute massages every single day of the trip along with delicious breakfast and lunch included. The property has a gorgeous pool and the rooms are spectacular, moreover the staff is super accommodating - they dealt with my food restrictions (no sugar, no gluten, no alcohol) perfectly. And although we did in fact head down to Ubud twice, we ended up staying on the property for most of the trip because it was so lovely. The only thing I would tweak is that their gym is TINY...

This property is the most peaceful and calm hotel, this is amazing considering it is located in the middle of the bustling city of Ubud. The location is only 7 minutes drive away from the main, Ubud Art Market. It is located 1 ½ - 2 hours away from the airport, which is okay for Bali. The rooms are absolutely amazing, they are modern, spacious and luxurious. They have air-conditioning and also a balcony. The breakfast at this hotel is SPOT-ON! I could not possibly wish for anything better, there is an ample selection of food at the buffet and the ala carte is absolutely amazing! The pool overlooks beautiful greenery as it drops on one side, at this time of visiting the pool had no people, so the Pool Villa was not necessary. If you are looking for a great restaurant nearby I would recommend bridges Bali. If you are planning to visit Bali (or Ubud), I would highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed every single bit of our stay at COMO Uma Ubud – as many others have mentioned in these reviews, we felt at home here. We stayed here during the pandemic and I must applaud them for keeping a high standard of health protocols.

Our original plan was to stay for 7 nights and explore other parts of Bali. But we found ourselves coming back to COMO and ended up staying for around 12 days in total. It's like you never want to leave!

A couple of highlights for me: the villa itself is spacious and always spotless – it has a beautiful modern-traditional design and architecture, the resort is located in the forest with villas spread around the complex – so the walk to your room is lovely, the daily breakfast highlights local ingredients and offers nutritious beautiful-looking dishes, their spa treatment is one of the best I've ever received, during this time they also offer fun activities like a morning walk through the rice field and a bike tour.

Most importantly, the whole staff is friendly and always available to assist you with anything. They go the extra mile to even remember how you take your coffee in the morning. Thank you COMO Uma Ubud team for a memorable stay and A++ hospitality!

If you get a chance, please stay here – I promise you'll have a wonderful time.

I’m an expat living in Bangkok who traveled to Ubud for a long weekend and a friend recommended this property. Wow - it did not disappoint! Everything from the grounds to the food & cocktails, to the service was 5 star. I stayed in a villa and it was fantastic - spacious and clean. If you are very sensitive to bugs (I’m not) you can use the canopy cover as there are open areas in the roof as part of the design. I loved it but they provide bug deterrent if you find it an issue.

The breakfast that is included has a great variety of fresh food and the menus all have healthy options.

The hotel is located close to the main market area of ubud and has a shuttle that goes there on a regular schedule.

I’ve stayed at a COMO property in the Maldives and can say that you get a five star experience with this chain. It’s a bit pricier sometimes but worth it in my opinion for consistency and quality.

Sujeta and his team were very attentive without being intrusive. Thank you to all of you for a wonderful stay and I will be back soon.

Como Ubud was by far our favourite hotel during our time travelling in Bali. On arriving to the hotel we were greeted by the staff who are all so lovely and so kind . Suteja, the hotel manager helped us map out our itinerary of our time in Ubud with some AMAZING recommendations and the hotel staff kindly made our reservations for us. The hotel is just beautiful and beyond all expectations. The rooms are clean and fresh with a modern feel, whilst also keeping with the sought after traditional Balinese style. Our pool villa room over-looked the jungle - we were pretty much speechless when we walked in and although we had so much to do and see in Ubud we just did not want to leave! My partner and I did the sunrise Yoga which was amazing, the instructor was one of the best I'd ever had. We also enjoyed a massage at the spa which was similarly one of the best ever! The food, from breakfast to lunch at the pool or dinner at Uma Cuccina was all just fantastic! This was the only hotel we stayed at that we just wanted to do everything there.... and you cant miss evening cocktails at the bar with the lovely staff, we loved Raka!! Finally, I think it would have been impossible to stay at the hotel and not be tempted to buy anything if not everything from the COMO shop! The store is filled with the most incredible quality and luxurious yet affordable beachwear to help you achieve the relaxed/effortless-chic vibe that flows throughout Bali! Including amazing accessories, I purchased things I will keep as key staples in my holiday wardrobe and wish I could go back for more!! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special xxx

As soon as I entered into the COMO Uma Ubud hotel, there is this special and harmonious connection with nature, so incredible that it feels like it's become part of it and integrated into the dense landscape. The air is fresh and cold, refreshing, reminding me of the British Countryside!

My room number 31 is located down lots of steps, into the jungle with magnificent views, colours and sounds.

My 3 day retreat began with a signature 60-minute Taksu Massage at the Spa called the COMO Shambhala.

My therapist was exceptional. Using deep firm pressure to loosen all the tight knots in my back, stretching and pulling the body in all the right places. Focusing on request on my head and neck, loosening all the tension along with any negative energy and leaving me feeling somewhat euphoric and lighter in my body. Happy, calm, a new human being, she touched my inner person, my soul.

As did the yoga teacher whom I spent only an hour with yet when I left the class I felt like I'd spent months practicing. He carried inside of him that inner wisdom and inner knowing that somehow touches you and kicks you back into the flow of life again, where everyday serendipities are the norm.

Full marks for the healthy breakfasts and the floating breakfast on the finale - something that you have to experience! Thank you!

We booked COMO Uma at the last minute, to celebrate a special occasion in Ubud. Upon arrival, we were very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded two levels to their highest category pool villa. Not only was the venue very private, the healthy food options provided meant that we felt good about lounging around in our infinity pool or playing chess at the poolside bar. Yoga every day overlooking a jungle ravine with a river running through it provided the kind of relaxation that is impossible in a bustling city venue. We tried several different kinds of yoga and sampled a variety of cleansing juices, vegetarian and gluten-free (but tasty!) options at breakfast, and even got a cake on the morning of our special day. Everyone remembered our names, even when walking around the resort. The spa treatment was also one of the best we have had. The service was flawless overall, but special thanks to Dwi and his team, and especially Eka at the front desk. We will definitely return!

The bed has a mosquito net around it. There is also a plug in repellent in the room and a mosquito repellent candle outside which is lit each evening. I recommend wearing long pants in the evening/night, and spray. The daytime isn't too bad. Hope this helps!
