The minute that you set foot at Amandari, you immediately feel that there is something different. The lady who greeted us as we got off the car whisked us away to our villa, where the check-in process would be done. The process was smooth and quick. As we were walking to our villa, she showed us around, taking a detour...

Went to the resort only to treat myself for lunch. Yes in general resort is not open to walk-in F&B goer, however the staffs really nice. It was with warm welcome even on bike. Ordered: 1. Soto Ayam 2. Perrier water 3. Chocolate lava dessert All are prepared carefully with fantastic taste. Must say that the chocolate lave dessert was...

We ate at the restaurant as part of the Ubud Food Festival this year. It certainly is fine dining with a wonderful view of the volcano. Highly recommend a visit, even if for only a drink at the outdoor bar with one of the best sunsets I've ever seen!

The biggest problem i can tell you about Amandari is that they do not have time to teach everyone else how to do things. I considered myself as a fairly seasoned traveller for my age, which makes me very annoying on the smallest details when it comes to hotels. Even so, if i squeezed my brain and WANTED to find...

We received a double upgrade to a pool villa and it was spectacular. We didn't want to leave the room, but when we did, we took advantage of the hotel's free shuttle to Ubud. The driver skipped the normal drop off point and drove us straight to the monkey forest to save us some walking with our small children. When...

Amandari was a relaxing place to be in, it's so calm and still. The design is traditional Balinese and the rooms were quaint. Lounging by the pool is great here. They also have performers come play music at night. This is a great place to disappear in.

If you want an amazing service, a truly peaceful resort and the feeling you're in a place out of this world and probably in Heaven then Amandari is it. You can also transfer for a day or two to the sister property Amankila if you would rather be by the beach. I went there to see but just had to...

I went to Amandari for relaxation as a solo traveler while my husband was away, and while I would have loved to experience this special property with him as well, I couldn't have been happier. I write about travel and food, and have been fortunate enough to have stayed at some of the best properties around the globe. While some...

Outstanding hotel for total relaxation and unbelievable service and friendliness . We had a pool Villa which is probably the best room with exquisite taste we have stayed in. The whole team here take an interest in your time there and the ambience of the experience is outstanding with terrific views over the unspoilt valley below. Top end but comfortable...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amandari (meaning peaceful spirits) is located in the village of Kedewatan, on the fringe of Bali's cultural capital, Ubud. Perched on an escarpment high above the winding Ayung River gorge, this resort follows the design of a traditional Balinese village. Pebbled walkways link the thatched-roof suites, each of which has its own walled garden.
