Spent one night last week and had a wonderful time. The rooms are rustic but that adds to the experience of the place. Everything in the room, including hot water, works! Food is very tasty and the ambiance was great; breakfast was on top of the elevated deck which offers fantastic views of the Tea slopes while dinners are in...

We were the only guests on our second night. The rooms are good and views amazing. It is a little rustic but we like that. Ester the hardest working of the staff was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. One or two of the others should take inspiration from her! The walk along the river is lovely and the rolling...

Had an exciting weekend in what's probably my 6th or 7th stay at Aberdare Cottages. Although we didn't get enough time to undertake fishing proper, the hikes were wonderful, the staff friendly and eager to help and all in all, with each hour spent here, I hoped all the more that the experience would not end. This time round, I...

Rooms are clean and well designed and the chef has amazing skills. Zack the owner who is also a local resident is very passionate about the place and goes...

Clean, decent and safe place to stay in the country side. Don't expect hotel amenities but a fantastic way to experience rural Kenya, wander into tea farms and eat the tastiest, freshest fish. Good for one night or as a stop-over since there isn't too much to do.

Went there -great biking possibilities!- Jan '16 for 2 nights in the more expensive De Luxe rooms (as depicted on main pic). First impression: rather run-down, beds approx 190 cm long, no nets and no hot water through the day. Balcony too small to sit properly. Great views. Very nice staff though, doing their utmost to please. Hot-water bottles in...

The staff were kind and accommodating, the facility was comfortable and in an ideal location, and the food was outstanding. The staff arranged for us a knowledgable guide to take us on...

This review is long overdue being that it is my 3rd time this year to stay here. Aberdare cottages can is an easy 2 hour 15 minute drive from Nairobi. It is advisable to start your trip earlier and use every last amount of day light because that makes the trip easier because the last few miles are all weather...
