We came for 3 nights and left after 5. We were made extremely welcome but without having our privacy invaded. It was during the early days of Covid and the place was very quiet. We camped in our roof top tent and had the place to ourselves. The amenities were clean, we felt safe at all times and the restaurant food was great. The service in the restaurant was second to none and the view at breakfast led to a slow lingering start to the day. The beach here is quiet and long walks early morning or late afternoon were made in very tranquil surroundings. The sea weed harvest operation and the comings and goings of the fishermen interested us. Everyone was very welcoming and did their utmost to make our stay memorable. Definitely recommended.

For our dinner we had Nyama Choma, one of the best meals of our entire trip. Review: Nyama Choma is a 10/10 meal. We were able to watch the making of this meal and to our surprise, it did not take long to make. Vegetables, like carrots, also were apart of this dish with lemon juices. We 100% recommend this dish and this restaurant for exceptional service and even more exceptional food. We were very excited to dive into this dish considering we havenโ€™t had any of our traditional food since the beginning of our travels. If you are in the area and have the chance to try it, we definitely suggest you do!

When I tell you this is one of the nicest beach resorts I have stayed in believe me. It is located on a quiet, peaceful beach off the main road. The bandas are spaced far apart for complete privacy. There is no A/C, no TV or wifi in the room. It's a lovely place to come to unplug from worldly chaos ๐Ÿ˜€. Wifi is accessible from the dining area. The food is deliciously prepared and served by the friendly, attentive staff. Although this is an eco-friendly lodge, it doesn't mean that you won't have a 5 * experience. Baja and his staff do an excellent job in making you feel welcomed and to have an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Kilwa Beach Lodge for a place to getaway from it all.

We arrived there when a thunderstorm was coming. So the staff really raced to save us and our luggage from the rain. They helped us a lot to get to our next destinations, at the mornung there is served a great english-tanzanian breakfast. The rooms are huts placed directy at the beach under palm trees. The fitting is nice with coloured domestic Equipments. A very fine and pretty place to relax. Thank You!
