Room basic but ok except for the lack of service. I would have expected the milk etc to have been replenished daily. My parents managed motels all over NZ and they were appalled that the bed was not made and the refreshments not topped up. The free hot pools are a bonus, however be warned, they do get very hot!...

The room was spacious with a kitchenette and bathroom and 2 singles beds and a queen. perfect for a family though this time it was just my mum and i travelling to do the...

just a horrible experience from the beginning till the end, the staff was really rude to us and especially owner who yelled at us after we used a shower and toilet and he requested $20 per person because of that... nobody told us that we should pay for a shower before we paid an entry for pools...after all we paid...

Stayed in a rear cabin and it was warm which helped since we chose a cold wet couple of days to stay. Slept well. Hot pools were good, showers were hot, kitchen amenities were good, and the owners even let us use their garage to park our motorcycles in. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room is dark, needs to change to better light bulbs. Property is old and switches are not working. Toilet is small and cramp. No cooking in the room, only in the kitchen outside, however, no utensils are provided!! i had to borrow a spoon from the caravan parked in the motel just to drink a soup. Kitchen is in a...

Hot pools are great but that is where it ends. we have been going there for several years now since they have the best hot pools in town and they are in a convenient location. We have been backpacker guests, Studio room guests and Cabin guests and casual pool user guests and pretty much no matter what kind of guest...

Love the hot pools, rustic but nice natural water(which is why there is some stained concrete) Owner seems to find a reason to be rude on each visit, which usually involves shouting at customers over trivial things. No sense of customer service what so ever. The cabins are grubby and dated. Sad place and not recommended until there is a...

We arrived at 6:45pm and were turned away for an unpowered camping site because "campervans use a lot of power" and there is a minimum 2 night stay during winter. You would think people would be grateful for any business during off peak season - good luck trying to run a business with this attitude! Ended up stopping at a...

Funny someone who is in the hospitality industry doesn't know how to offer hospitality. Yelling angrily to customer over some very trivial matter. Holiday spoiler. Negative vibes. If I have checked Tripadvisor for previous reviews I definitely will not go to this motel.
