What an anniversary to remember. Ah.. the bush. Two glorious nights to relax, and then to be absolutely pampered with our evening meals. We had Entree and Main the first night, and then after a day of hiking in the nearby Amamoor State Forest we selected Main and Dessert the 2nd night. The food was restaurant quality. And then came...

Spoiled ourselves staying here over Easter instead of with relatives while visiting for a 3-day family reunion. Welcomed with hot, freshly toasted hot-cross buns by the owners and 'Chester', the most friendly border collie ever. Enjoyed sitting out on the front porch (we had studio rooms) with fellow travellers overlooking the valley. Mornings were delightful, great continental breakfast with cereal,...

Chester, the black and white sheepdog, greeted us and wagged his tail, being a very friendly host for this lodge. My partner loved the interaction with Chester. Our suite room was extremely nice and we had a comfortable overnight stay together with a full hot breakfast on the verandah.

We ended up being double booked during a work trip over the Christmas /New Year period. We booked Amamoor Lodge through a website at 8pm and received a call immediately from the owner. They were so accommodating and were happy to wait until 9:30pm for our arrival. The rooms were so lovely, and there was freshly baked cake and everything...

My husband and i had two nights at Amamoor lodge over the long weekend. We spent a day at rainbow beach (about an hour away) and it was so nice coming back to a quiet retreat away from all the people. Malcolm and Christine were very welcoming and their attention to detail was perfect. We had an amazing stay, and...

Lovely room, friendly hosts with cakes on arrival & a fabulous breakfast. Set in 50 acres, great walk to the top of the hill with lovely sunset. No lights around at night so sat on balcony with a light show from the stars.

We made a one night stay at the Lodge on a Saturday in October 2015. Our room was excellent, large with two exits to the veranda. We were given a welcoming afternoon tea from Christine and Malcolm, our very hospitable hosts and enjoyed a peaceful Saturday evening in the most tranquil of surroundings. The Lodge sits on 50 acres allowing...

This is an immaculate lodge run by a couple who obviously care deeply about what they do. Their efforts are reflected in the attention to detail that is evident through out the property. This place has a peaceful atmosphere with an interesting rural history. Thanks for the stay. Highly recommended.

Having grown up in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and with a brother at Tandur on the other side of the Mary River, I must have driven through Amamoor several times. I just never noticed it before. On this occasion, a family member was getting married at the local community hall and the four of us arrived the day before....
