We spent 4 nights at Butterworth Farm after vowing to return when we last visited in 2012. As a B&B this is just The Best. Marie and Bernard are gracious, welcoming hosts, full of information and advice on the area and the battlefields. Marie's breakfasts are superb and there is always a great selection. The common areas are a great... More

We stayed here 4 years ago and got to return in September this year and it was just as good as I remember. We had a lovely 6 day stay here with Bernard and Marie. They are wonderful hosts and it is a very relaxing, comfortable and convenient place to stay. It is an ideal place to make a base... More

Turned up without a booking and had no problem getting a room. How pleasantly surprised were we. The owners were out walking when we arrived but other guests said accommodation was available. When Maria returned from her walk she made us feel very welcome showed my friend and I to our room. As the weather was lovely we went out... More

What a beautiful place to stay! Our hosts Bernard and Marie were wonderful: very friendly, helpful and Bernard is more than willing to share his knowledge of the area and its history, especially as it relates to World War 1. Butterworth Farm is conveniently located near many World War 1 sites and cemeteries. Our room was large and beautifully decorated.... More

Ideally situated for an exploration of the Somme Battlefields and further afield, Butterworth Farm is 'the' best B&B accommodation I have stayed in. Marie De Lattre made me and my nephew very welcome. Her English is very good and her knowledge of the area is excellent. The room we had was a family room comprising of one double bed and... More

The owners, Marie and Bernard, are extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious with private bath, clean and comfortable. A full kitchen is provided, and the breakfast is very good. The location in Pozieres is excellent for anyone wishing to visit the nearby Australian, British, Canadian or South African battlefields and monuments.

We had a 2 night stay here in June, traveling with friends on our tour of the battlefields of the Somme. It is very centrally located and we chose to tour on cycles with a guide booked in advance which made for a very interesting trip.
