This quite small but very centrally located hotel within 30 min. drive from Bologna, 1 hrs drive from Florence and 1,5 hrs drive from Venice. Just perfect, right in the middle. Close to Modena and the Ferrari factory.
Several seperate buildings make up the hotel, old Italian style from the outside, very modern and renovated from the inside.
Many italian guest, which means it is a good hotel. Private , free parking at the hotel. Breakfast , sufficient, included, excellent cappucino in the morning.

If you happen to stay in Modena for a while, just book a room at Due Pini! Marcelo or Monika will get your call, the owners, and you won't be sure to have a room as long as you don't get into your bed.
Interesting modern, I'd say futuristic interiors which literally fight with the style of the original country house building. Unusual combination, it appears that the architect came from Mars and remained caged into the hotel and never put an eye outside. However, nice, modern, cozy!
The summer garden is shadowed by large pine trees and the the garden chairs lean their feet onto beautiful terracotta tiles which pave the veranda.
The restaurant ain't a restaurant! It's a colourful, nicely noisy amusement park!
Anna, the restaurant manager, acts like being a lovely auntie to some guests (I assume friends or regular guests); that's what one expects when having a break during hard work or after a tiring day: relax! Good food, delicious ingredients, informal, discrete...it's everything!
Now and then you can even hear, loud and clear, somebody shouting "amatori!" or something like that...who? One of Anna's nephews, I thought!
Just go, it's fun!

The hotel reception was quick and helpful as they coud be, but not everyone spoke English, so it was up to sign language at times. The rooms were neat and clean and well checked, before I got the chance to tell them that there was a problem with one of my electrical sockets, they already had someone fixing it! The garden was pleasant, but quite a few ants, so no bare feet! Breakfast was nice quality, especially if you don't arrive too early. Restaurant staff were happy and in for a joke.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very helpful. Nice clean rooms, nice grounds. Great price. One thing I regret was not using the sauna, (due to my own time constraints) that I’m sure would have made my stay even better. I’d highly recommend staying at this establishment.

I stayed here during my business trip in this region and was totally amazed. It´s a simple business hotel as it should be - strategically positioned near to the road Modena-Sassuolo with a comfy parking just next to the hotel, nice large rooms with all the necessary comfort and very professional staff. Plus you could also eat quite well here both for the dinner and breakfast which is absolutely amazing with a very vast choice.

Good hotel for its money. Staff is very helpful, rooms are modern and well furnished. Mattress is comfortable as well as the pillows. Breakfast is great too, there is parking and WiFi works great, can’t go wrong with this one.

The hotel is nice. The rooms are big. The garden and common premises are very well taken care of.
But what really amazed my children was the kindness and friendliness of all stuff.

I spent many nights in this hotel 20+ years ago. It was a great surprise to find out that the owner is the same and he took very good care of it. If you are in this area I recommend this hotel and the restaurant as well. Very Friendly. It could use a better a/c system, in hot days it doesn't keep up and this is my reason I didn't give a full score.

The Hotel Due Pini is a very pleasant hotel, with nice rooms, lovely breakfast terrace in the wooded gardens and excellent + friendly service. We will for sure stay here again in future when traveling through this area.

Very quiet and clean hotel, newly renovated, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice outside seating, all at a very good price. Actually stayed here two different nights it was such a convenient place. Would definitely stay here again when traveling around Modena.
