Visited here with my partner in sept, gorgeous venue and very lovely atmosphere. The waiting staff were lovely and helpful, very attentive! The food was outstanding I had the crevette which was delicious and the steak, my partner had the creamy mushrooms and steak. All was great the only reason I give 4/5 was because the man behind the bar...

I stayed here just one night to break my journey north. I was delighted to find myself in a site surrounded by Roman antiquities - Roman baths, an ampitheatre, barracks and museum all within minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel was lovely, staff very friendly and the building impressive. Caerleon is a lovely village with a couple of nice...

I have eaten at the Priory many times over the years. I have always found it to be a nice place to visit and was looking forward to the occasion. Unfortunately this visit was particularly poor! We were a party of 6. Food in general on this occasion was average. This was disappointing as we have always found the food...

Had a great stay at a surprise find in Carleon, near Newport. Set in the centre of a nice medieval village, The Priory is a comfortable little 22 room Hotel/Restaurant with a very friendly family feel. The 4 poster rooms are spectacular, with probably the nicest hotel bathroom (and largest bath and showers) I've ever seen, and an amazingly comfortable...

We couldn't have chosen better the rooms were large and very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings were beautiful. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. Our relatives were very impressed with...

Have been here for dinner with colleagues from work. We have ordered few courses. Beside the fillet steak which was over cooked all the rest were very good like the Seabass, Oysters and Welsh Lamb. Good choice of wine. Recommended.

GranMa booked a table here to treat Great GrandDad for his 82 birthday. My Mama took some of my favourite vegetables so I could start eating while waiting for our order to be served - I don't like to wait once seated in the high chair. Mama ordered me the fresh cod pan fried, and everyone like it! So I...

Nice old building and grounds, the food was good and a wide selection, and fresh. I stayed in the annex - cottage - and not in the main building as there was a wedding on site. The room was large and well equipped but not modern. Clean and comfortable though. Large bath tub. Staff was nice.
