The worse breakfast we had along El Camino. Bread and jam (good coffee). Luckily Patrick gave us some small pieces of cheese! Accommodating host (Peter) as I am vegetarian and prepared a decent meal. A drink on the terrace outside was a pleasant experience. Rooms definitely need upgrading!!! Peter kindly picks you up from St Privat.

On our camino trip we visited this hotel. Ok, the room is not big but, but we enjoyed the always friendly staff, the excellent food and the deliscious wine. Had a goid time there. Thanks to peter and his staff

Third time staying. Always excellent food. Peter is an excellent chief. Rooms are clean but basic but that's reflected in the price. Peter will pick you up and drop you off if you are walking the Camino so you could make it a base for several days. A beer on the balcony is a great way to spend a few...

A quaint refuge along The Le Puy en Velay camino. The food is simple, excellent and quality ingredients. Didn't have pasta or beef but looked very tempting. Walking the camino I was trying to keep my weight down. Pizza is excellent. Lots of hot water in shower for the weather outside was cold and hot water was a welcome relief....

On our first Camino attempt we found this spot after a long day's walk. Our feet were burning in our shoes but the beer was heavenly cold! We received a warm welcome and decided to stay for the night. Okay, the room isn't very modern or spacious, but the shower was nice and wet, and the sheets were clean. Then...

I think David P just about summed it up, except for one thing... the passenger train still stopped there in June 2013. In fact that was our main reason for stopping at Monistrol as the point of our trip was to take a slow train ride through lovely scenery. But be warned, they are threatening to close down the railway....

A friend an I visited looking for some food on a quiet, unseasonably cold June evening. This is a restaurant review only. We were welcomed into the empty looking hotel and shown to a table in the interestingly decorated restaurant. The room itself is a hotch-potch of colours and styles and is delightfully quirky in a mis-matched kind of way....

Every other gite (hostel) and hotel along the chemin de st jacques in france was clean, but this hotel was dirty, especially the bathroom and bedroom floors. Room was cramped. Supper: slow cooked pork was at least 80% fat: quite indigestible, while mushrooms in greasy risotto were fried to a black shrivelled mess. How do you make a risotto so...

This was a re-visit for me because I stopped by for a coffee three years ago whilst walking across the Aubrac Hills on the Chemin de St Jacque with my son. We were very struck by the welcome we were given by Peter, the English owner who provided some nice local charcuterie and talked for ages. So when I came...
