Being from the US, it's unsurprising that we've vacationed on every island in the Caribbean. So when we started to plan our honeymoon, we wanted to do something different and much more memorable. What we got from our stay at the Conrad Koh Samui was much more than just memorable, but completely unforgettable. To start, our incredible concierge Jack reached out to us about a week prior to our arrival to introduce himself, exchange WhatsApp numbers, and helped me arrange a dinner reservation at Jahn, a bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival, and a floating breakfast for our first morning. He was very thorough in making sure he knew our personal details to customize our experience. The hotel property is bit of a distance from the airport. They do, however, have a car service that you can arrange to pick you up from and return you to the airport. Upon check-in, Jack met us personally to introduce himself and escort us to our villa. Along the way, he pointed out the features of the property, the location of different restaurants, the spa, the main pool, and the beach. What's more, he showed us around the villa and made sure we were well informed of the amenities. What's more, he surprised us with a fresh spread of fruits, hors d'oeuvres, and two customize teddy bears with our names on them. Our villa was spectacularly appointed, meticulously maintained, and extremely well tended during our stay. Being a Conrad, there's an extensive pillow menu to customize your sleep experience, but it level of personalization doesn't stop there. The villa was cleaned daily around midday and again turned down while we dined at night. What's more, after the first full day, the housekeeping staff picked up on our coffee and tea habits and made sure to overstock the minibar with extra supplies, as well as began providing us with extra water as we both tend to drink a lot. The food options are aplenty. On our first and last night, we dined at Jahn. The food is just as incredible as the service. You would have thought we were the guests of honor as the entire staff made us feel as if we were the most important diners of the evening. On our second visit to Jahn, we ordered the Chicken Chasseur which was finished table side. It made for a delightful meal and memorable experience. Most other nights we started off with cocktails at the Ko Lounge while watching the breathtaking sunsets before heading over to Zest for the incredible Thai cuisine. The service was always remarkable and we never once felt unnoticed. Breakfast was always at Zest and offered countless options on the buffet as well as delightful made-to-order egg options. The staff quickly learned our tastes and were quick to offer us our preferred beverages and fresh fruits. What's more, after learning my husband loves pomelo, they went out of their way to make sure he some with every breakfast, as well as the chef personally came by to offer us both a pomelo dish that he made special for us. This level of service was genuinely unimaginable and truly incredible. We also frequented the coffee shop, Botanikka and never had an unpleasant or routine experience. Every visit was amazing and the barista Boom always greeted us with a gigantic smile before making us the most delicious coffees and teas. Often for lunch we would go to Azure by the main pool and beach. The pizzas are insanely delicious with unique flavors and ingredients. And they never let our cocktails go empty. Walking onto the beach, you're immediately greeted with towels and an ice bucket with waters. They offer kayaks, paddle boards, and jet skis on the ready. Jack told us about the long tail boat that you can charter to go to pig island as well as snorkeling and we jumped at that. The boat met us at the beach just after breakfast and provided us with towels, waters, and some details about pig island. The Captain and Best made the trip incredible and were extremely attentive and personable. Jack made every request we had seem effortless and went out of his way to make our whole experience incredible. And every member of the staff went above and beyond making our honeymoon the most memorable and enjoyable experience imaginable. Let’s just say, you can’t get better service anywhere else. What made this experience great was the staff. I had a personal assistant (Jack) that helped us throughout our whole stay. When I needed a room key after I locked myself out, I was able to contact our assistant to get someone to open the room quickly. I needed help with booking my transfer out and Jack helped me throughout the night when he did not have to. The communications within the property is an A+. And lets not forget about our driver (Sprite). We received a pick up all the way from the other side of the island. I made an adjustment of time for an earlier pick up and he made it happen. We learned more about the island and Thailand through his experience and wisdom. He was our driver for our whole stay and even took us to our next destination voluntarily. We definitely felt the love within the staff. The highlight of this trip was the Romantic Beach Dinner with significant other. I booked this and successfully proposed to my one and only best friend. Every staff at the property told us that we came at the “right time” due to the constant rain the past few days. The night of the dinner it was clear like it was meant to be. We just had an incredible three night stay at the Conrad Koh Samui! First of all, the location is stunning! People complain that it is too far from the airport (almost an hour) but we enjoyed getting away from the touristy areas and away from the crowds. The location of the hotel on the cliff offers the most unbelievable sunsets in the evening. We were pleased to be upgraded to a Five Island View Villa because of our Diamond status (though it looks like most of the villas would have this view or close to it) The villa was incredible, a king sized bed, a spacious couch, massive bathroom with large tub and even a TV to watch while soaking. The real winner is the outdoor area. The private pool for each villa is gigantic, similar to a lap pool, with the most incredible view. We couldn't stop taking pictures each day, trying to capture and remember how memorable this view was! We had dinner two nights at the Azure restaurant, by the pool. The selection was mostly western'ish food choice, but all of it was delicious. The prices are a bit expensive, especially being in Thailand, but if you are a Diamond member they give you a 25% discount on the bill, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was incredible in the morning! A wide variety of pastries, western food, Chinese food, Thai food, fruits, etc. lots of choices and selections. Pom, who worked the morning breakfast was also incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting things to do and see in the area during the day. Overall, everyone we encountered was extremely accommodating from the front lobby staff, to the retail store worker, the buggy drivers, to the staff who set up our towels and water at the beach -- everyone was fantastic. Speaking of the beach, Standup paddle boards and kayaks are free to use at all times. Lastly, we rented a car and the hotel has plenty of free parking on site. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you are looking for some cheaper and local options for food, there are some great local places only 15-20 minutes away, and a 7-11 about 5 min away. We recently had an absolutely magical five-night stay here, largely because of two things: the service and the setting. Every staff person you will meet is so kind, gracious, friendly, eager to help and, importantly, very good at their jobs! We had a fantastic concierge (Jack) that seemed to anticipate our every need and assisted us like we were his only guests! The breakfast staff was also memorably excellent, but whether at Zest or Azure for dinner or getting a kayak at the beach, everyone we interacted was really superb! Next the views - in a word, breathtaking. You will look, turn away, and seconds later, again marvel at the beauty! Of course, it helps you will have your own cliffside villa with decently sized pool (not a bathtub "plunge" pool). Have sunset drinks at the bar across from Zest. The gym is really good, if that's your thing. And, as good as the massage treatments are, the dry sauna and showers in the spa are an experience unto themselves.…

This resort is something else. After a very long ride arranged with the hotel, up a few steep switchbacks, you arrive to the reception with a view like no other. From being picked up at the airport, to reception and every meal. The staff here go above and beyond. As someone who generally doesn’t like someone making a fuss over my stays, the staff here were perfect. They were happy to help, looked after the small details, made our trip. The rooms were well cared for, the pool in the villa pristine. Very private.

I stayed at an ocean view villa, which is located in 2nd level. It was nicely located as I was able to walk to the major places like the restaurant for breakfast and gym, instead of calling for a buggy every time. Overall experience was superb. Staff were all friendly and the view was as stunning as expected, and the villa was nicely designed. Communication with staff via whatsapp was very smooth and they responded to me in a minute. I am always worried about mosquitos when I stay at these villas, and actually staff advised me to make sure to close all doors completely to avoid them, but I did not get any bites during my stay, even I was lying outside for a while, which was a big plus for me. Though I felt the breakfast could have more diverse options and the gym could have more variety of machines, I truly enjoyed my 4 days stay there. Definitely I will come back again, hopefully with someone else next time :) …

Location, location, location. While it is an hour ride away from Koh Samui (USM) Airport, this place is located on the opposite side of the island. The villas are built on a hill offering gorgeous views of the Gulf of Thailand. Service: outstanding. Everyone is extremely nice and they know how to address any concerns or questions. Cleanliness: excellent. Very clean place and nicely kept. Food: delicious. We tried room service, Azure, Zest, Ko Lounge, Seakret Bar, and Botanikka. We skipped Jahn because i think it was overpriced. Breakfast is served at Zest as a buffet. There is plenty of delicious food for everyone. I stuck to more traditional western breakfast while trying some thai dishes. Azure is completely Mediterranean food. Lovely setting and yummy food. Botanikka offers some of the best coffees and teas. Ko Lounge has some quick food. The place is not cheap. We booked through Amex and that has its own perks but be prepared to spend some money. The resorts offers some activities as well but we just didn’t use any of them. Tips. There is a buggy (golf cart) service throughout the resort. The hill is steep and might challenging for people with knee problems. We never waited for more than a minute for one to show up. Be nice to those who serve you and tip. You don’t have to do that but we like to reward those who provide a great service. My biggest complaint is rude and impolite guests who have no manners and act entitled, but we are used to it now. If you are not on a budget, this is definitely a must stay place for Koh Samui. Oh yeah, they even have a pillow menu which we should have taken advantage off, even though the bed and pillows are very comfortable.…

Awesome resort! Conrad Koh Samui is a destination on its own...though more isolated and further from the airport, the sweeping views of the ocean from the villas are unforgettable and the service level top notch indeed. Within the large property, you get around by hopping onto electric buggy which can be promptly triggered by a call. All the service staff we met were friendly and puts us at ease, many go above and beyond too. Breakfast at Zest restaurant was excellent with wide selection of Thai and Chinese cuisine too. We also took the complimentary morning exercise classes taught by professional fitness staff right by the waters. There are also interesting coffee roasting and Kombucha making classes too. This is a resort for those who are seeking for a complete rest and peaceful environment, and not too bothered about not getting out of the resort to do other activities since the location is isolated.…

This was a truly amazing experienced which exceeded every expectation. From the breath taking views to the sublime food and exceptional staff....we were taken away by every aspect of this property. An absolutely must is to sit and relax at their coffee shop, which roasts its own coffee and makes their own in house Kambucha, in addition to visiting the hotels farm which cultivates a large % of the food and produce served in the restaurants (can even select your own eggs for breakfast). The only shortcoming would be that concierge aren't able to help with non-hotel excursions, so this may be an area where you'll need to do some homework, but, otherwise everyone is very friendly and eager to see you enjoy your experience.
