You would have received your deposit back if you hadn’t let you dog urinate throughout the lodge staining the carpet, rendering it unusable due to the smell and stains, it was disgusting, as per the photos you requested. You also removed a teddy bear without...More
We have stay here many times. The Poole family are very welcoming. The restaurant is first class, must book at least a week ahead. The fishing is very good. The park has a good dog walk and field for them to play in. The site...More

Our Touring Park is exclusively for adults so if you turn up with a baby, you will not be permitted on site.
We do not tolerate rude behaviour towards our staff, therefore if you turn up a day late, we do not issue credits.

It is on a bus route into Shrewsbury as we used it. They run about every hour from the main road opposite the pub there. Its about half a mile to walk. Dont rely on the schedule on the notice board though as its out of date. We did and ended up waiting about 45 mins for a bus!!
The pub on the main road does do food and we spoke to someone who had eaten there and they said it was OK. They dont allow dogs in which is why we didnt try it.
There is another pub called Dog in the Lane. At the entrance instead of turning left and going towards the main road, turn right and keep walking for about 3 miles ish down the country lane. It would be a nice walk if the weather is OK and in daylight. Wouldn't fancy walking it at night. We walked there as we knew they let dogs in on the Bank Holiday Monday but it was closed! Bank holiday Monday???? It does get good reviews but I would check when it opens and when they serve food.
Dont bother with the restaurant on site as we paid £60 for 2 starters and two main courses, one coke and one glass of wine. Not a problem paying that IF it was worth it. We didnt think so.
Personally I would have a look at some other sites around the area as we felt it was expensive for what you got. I wouldn't go back and I think that says it all.
