Delightful evening. Excellent a la cart choices. Beautifully cooked. Marvelous....Right in the middle of the village square, a pleasant drive from the sea at places such as Bude and other interesting small villages like Hatherleigh.

This Christmas dinner for a large group was held in a private dining room. The room was very highly decorated and crackers, hats and party novelties provided. All meals were prebooked. Portions were large, and considering the number of tables, the service was good. Wine was at reasonable prices. The turkey was very tender and there was a large selection...

What a gem! The friendly and attentive staff, large warm, clean, quiet and homely room, excellent food, friendly locals and warm ambiance made this a very enjoyable, restful and memorable stay. The breakfasts were completely superb - 1 morning I counted 12 large bowls full of delicious fruit (most of it fresh), as well as 3 choices of fish, huge...

Very comfortable room and one of the best breakfasts around, the amount of different fresh fruits was amazing. Nice little village, ideal for Oakhampton and exploring Dartmoor. The resturant is very good but busy so its worth bookingThe village is a little bit isolated and down narrow lanes, but well worth the trip. The inn specialises in fishing trips in...

This was a deal on Groupon and was great value for money. Although perhaps the bathrooms (we were in the annex because of the dog) needed a bit of tlc, everything was clean and comfortable. The bedroom was well furnished with plenty of drawer and cupboard space, The food at the Half-Moon was extremely good - as you will see...

The pub is very dated ! Animal friendly but too friendly if you don't want the pub dogs to come under your table while you eat . I had to go to tell the lady from the bar to take the dog away . Good food but expensive for the place. Very unfriendly staff . Never going back again .

Stayed on a 3 day break. Room was large and comfortable but needs some tlc. to repair windows and more. Shower in bathroom was hand held so needs to be fixed with a screen. Breakfast however is excellent but beware large portions. Evening meals were good so ate here every evening. Enjoyed our stay in this old Inn which is...

Like most reviewers we had a 1 night Groupon voucher. Yes Sheepwash is in the middle of nowhere but you know that before you buy your voucher.... don't you? A small Devon village with lots of charm and friendly people. 1 shop and the pub. The Half Moon inn is a bit tired looking but it's authentic, comfortable and exceptionally...

We happened upon a Groupon deal for this venue and by golly were we glad to have done so. Sheepwash itself is rather in the wilds but not too far away from nearby towns of Torrington, Bideford etc... The village itself doesn't offer much apart from the Half Moon, local fly fishing and nice country walks; however, given the quality...
