We were passing through and found this lovely place, they had ramps to get in and the staff we lovely and helpful. Not only did they make a first class coffee but food was awesome, I had steak which melted in my mouth and tasted amazing, it's a lovely cosy yet spacious place, and felt at ease straight away. Stayed here with Secret Escapes deal and what a bargain. Warm and comfortable accommodation, good pub food at night and excellent breakfasts. Staff were friendly and helpful. This place will be exceptional if current updates are completed.

We were glamping in the area and visited the Cheviot when it was bit rainy. What we noticed was the friendliness of the staff. We had a meal to share and the staff were not disapproving at all - just brought some extra cutlery. The real ales were great and someone mentioned the jakehead which was top class albeit a...

Very good food in the restaurant. Interesting menu and very tasty. I had a great chicken dish and my husband's only complaint was that they served the hot fish on top of salad so some of it got soggy..

The quality of both meals was first class and exceptionally good value. The lady behind the bar was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Unlike a lot...
