The location was peaceful and in a beautiful garden. The cottage was very well equipped and the owners were really helpful, even baking us a loaf of bread! Very good value for money. If you plan to start or end your visit to New Zealand here then stay at least 2 nights - it's a beautiful place to rest. It's...

Located just off the beaten track is Ruparau Water Gardens. We stopped in for the walk round. And it was just stunning! This garden has been sculpted and integrated within the natural landscape and you can just see and feel all the hard work and love that's gone into making and maintaining these grounds. It is worth the small trek...

Really enjoyed the stay here. Sally and Sascha are great people. The gardens are stunning and a nice hike to the waterfall. Great way to start the day. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious with gas bbq and fully fitted kitchen. Bread, eggs and milk were provided in the cottage. The coffee and cakes in the coffee shop were...

The Lodge is a very spacious, beautifully-architected period 1970s timber-built luxury bach. Almost everything in it (except for modern appliances!) is the original 1970s period detail, including impressive original artwork. There's a vast and plush living area, and big picture windows, decks in all directions and a glass-walled summer dining room bring a sense of the beautiful, lush water gardens...

Sally and Sasha are very thoughtful and gracious hosts. You get the sense that nothing would be too much trouble if it made your stay more comfortable and pleasant. The cottage has everything that you would need on a break and it is so good to be in a place that does not have a television! Not knowing what is...

Had a lovely couple of nights there in the self contained cottage. Was very spacious, with everything you could need: bbq, kitchen, bath and shower, and a sitting room with a great selection of board games. Gardens were very pretty and peaceful, and the waterfall was great for a dip. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Couldn't recommend this enough.

Rampura Water Gardens' accommodation is set amidst the most beautiful and tranquil gardens with two distinctly different walks, one around formal landscaped gardens with ponds galore and the other through a less formal area to a waterfall. The accommodation chalets are roomy with separate bedroom, sitting, dining and kitchen areas. All are fully equipped. But be prepared and come with...

We spent about an hour walking around the gardens here. The gardens were very nicely maintained and had a nice variety of flowers and native bush to look at. The lily ponds in particular were very scenic. I can see why many people do weddings here. It's worth a visit for anyone looking for something to do in the afternoon...

We stopped here on our way from Auckland to Cooks Beach, a bit of a detour but it was worth it. The gardens take about an hour to walk around at a relaxing pace, unfortunately due to the lack of rain the waterfall wasn't up to much but it was a lovely tranquil spot. Lunch was delicious and the staff/owner...
