Just visited the gallery for the first time and was so impressed with the range of exhibits in display. Saw what was to be put on display shortly, a large number of paintings by Malcolm Edwards and only wished we were still in the area to view them. The setting of the gallery is so peaceful and has a sense of calm throughout. The cafe us comfortable and offers great cakes and coffee. Looking forward to revisiting.
We stayed in the one bedded cottage. The cottage was perfect, just what we wanted, in lovely grounds and (as well as the cafe and art gallery) a short drive to a number of excellent restaurants and pubs.
Caretaker's Cottage. Ffin y Parc is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The place is so classy. We stayed in one of the cottages. One arrival we were greeted with a bottle of red wine / coffee with several cakes on the table. (Nice touch). All cakes are home made in the coffee shop. The decor in the cottage is right up to date with the outstanding art work. The beds are so comfortable with great quality bedding. The grounds are on 14 acres of land plenty of space to enjoy. Stunning backdrop from the garden. The gallery next door is really worth a visit. It is over two floors with alot of amazing art work. This will not disappoint anyone who has a keen eye for art. I met Ralph who was the owner. He was a true gentlemen with a genuine interest in making our stay very welcoming & relaxing. I was sad to leave but we will all return very soon. I wish them all the success for the future. Gary K.…
My mother and I stayed at the Caretaker's Cottage at Ffin y Parc last week. We had a wonderful holiday and our hosts, Ralph and Roland, along with their terrific team were so welcoming and friendly that we wished we were staying for another week! The two-bedroom cottage has been beautifully restored and has a lot of fun and original interior décor touches. It's very comfortable and has a spacious kitchen and sitting room as well as pretty bedrooms and a modern bathroom with lots of fluffy white towels on offer. When we arrived there's was a delicious tin of home-baked brownies and flapjacks waiting for us which was a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed relaxing cups of coffee in the next door art gallery's cafe (more amazing cakes on offer there too) and looking around the work on display in the gallery. Most importantly, we enjoyed talking to everyone who worked at Ffin Y Parc and patting Rothko, Ralph and Roland's elderly dog, who would lie outside and wag his tail when we saw him. Location-wise, Ffin Y Parc is very convenient for exploring North Wales. Highlights for us were visits to the National Trust's Bodnant Garden, Caernarfon Castle, Anglesey and Snowdon. There is so much to do that you're spoilt for choice. We plan to return!…
