Stayed here for a weekend family do. Situated in a picturesque village alongside a river. Lots of parking available. Local shop in the village. Very welcoming, smiley staff. Nothing too much trouble. The room was warm and spacious with a lounge area and a TV and drink making facilities. Free WIFI. Large, very comfortable bed. Slept like a log both...

Another great stay with Rhonda and Rupert whom I have got to know over the many stays that I have had at the hotel. I stayed in room 11 which was great and enjoyed the Bistro Steak and a few beers with dinner. It is a great place - I wouldn't stay anywhere else...well worth a trip.

We eat here often, menu is ok. Good pub food. Sunday lunch is good, large portions for the males in our party. Free wifi in the back bar. I am disappointed that the hotel has misspelt the name Eryrod (Eagles) and spelt it Erirod, shame as they are right next door to a translation service, which I'm sure would have...

Plentiful meat and help yourself to vegetables. Good food. Customer service has plenty of room for improvement though. Paid the bill and was contacted to say that there was an open drinks tab unpaid for. Agreed to pay next time passing. Made to feel like I had done it on purpose (had ordered drinks at the table along with our...

The room was lovely, huge bed, excellent bathroom which had been newly refurbished, big fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. The breakfast is buffet style and was excellent. The only down side was the bars which were extremely noisy, the acoustics were appalling and the noise was so painful we couldn't stay in there. Unfortunately the noise could also...

Visited with family on Sunday. Fabulous carvery and excellent value at only £9.95 and £3 for a dessert. Children get a slightly smaller plate for £7.95. 3 types of meat and plenty of sides including some good sized yorkshire puddings. It was all hot and fresh. Very impressed would certainly return when back in the area.

We stayed here for 2 nights while on tour in the UK. It is lovely hotel on the river in a small, non-touristy village. The proprietors were outgoing and friendly. We went to the pub in evening and rubbed elbows with the locals. Who were also friendly and welcoming. The rooms had updated bathrooms and beautiful antique furnishings. The only...

Had an evening meal here of Gammon and Lasagne. Both were excellently cooked and we really enjoyed our meal. The Staff were very friendly and the service was extremely good. The Hotel is a lovely building and the bar is a very relaxing place to have a drink or a meal. There were a few real ales to choose from...

My partner arrived to the Eagles hotel for a 2 night break with his 11 year old son. They arrived at 4.30pm and were greeted by the most snobbish staff who immediately looked down their nose at them. Unfortunately he had made a mistake with the accommodation booking via the internet and took full responsibility for the mistake, however when...
