Just home from a nice couple of nights staying at the Burnett Arms Hotel. The staff in this hotel are so welcoming and friendly and each and every one of them are a credit to this hotel. Check-in was quick and efficient, we were in room 11 at the front of the hotel, the room was spotlessly clean and a good size, there was a lovely en-suite shower room and tea and coffee were plentiful. Room was nice and warm and bed was comfortable. Bar area in hotel was nice, food was lovely. The hotel only has one bar at moment, this is the perfect area to relax and get to know the locals, one guy named Brian kept everyone up to date on the local history, this is what makes some holidays that little bit more enjoyable, thanks Brian 😀 The staff work so hard to make everyone happy. We will certainly be booking again in the near future. Thanks again to you all for helping us enjoy our break Debbie and Ian Watson

We had booked this hotel due to us having a friends 60th party out In Banchory. However, due to circumstances the party was cancelled but we retained the booking and planned night of chilling and some food in the bar. I have stayed at a few hotels in Banchory, but the Burnett was recommended by my friend as great value and the reviews aligned with this. Arrived late afternoon and got parked easily in the car park at the rear of the hotel. Checkin was painless even with the additional one way system they had in place to deal with the present COVID situation. Sun was shining so headed out front to the tables and enjoyed a few drinks in the sun. We moved into the bar for some food around 7pm and the menu gave some good choices. The food was really good and the service was first class. We booked a superior double and the room was fitted out well except for small TV which was amplified due to distance from the bed. Bed was very comfortable and reasonably quite as we were at the back of the hotel. We never made breakfast as it finished at 09.30 which is a little early for Sunday checkout, but that may have been down to present restrictions. Checkout our wasn’t the best experience as I had to go looking for someone even after ringing the bell twice! There was also some confusion on the bar bill which I had the receipt for, but managed to get past that. So would we stay again? Yes as long as we got a room at the back and were looking for value for money.

Thank you for your review for your stay with us. We are pleased the dinner menu was to your liking and you received the personal customer care that we try to pass on to all our customers. In order for the chef to manage his workload and prepare the day specials, a time limit is scheduled for breakfast-this then allows some focus on lunch. We do apologise if your stay has left you feeling let down. Please make these issues apparent with a member of staff if booking with us again. We will look forward to welcoming you back.

Brought my wife here for her birthday meal last night - excellent welcome, great food and the staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Considering the difficult times with Covid, the system worked very well. We’ve booked again later in the week. Thank you x
