The farm is slightly off the walk but not bad. The landlady was very helpful to my companion who hurt her knee and ankle and needed a taxi from the walk to the farm. The lounge was comfy and warm. The bedroom was large and homely with a large comfy bed. The bathroom was shared between 2 of us but...

This farm is just off the Hadrian's Wall trail and provides a lovely place to stay for hikers. The room had a nice view and was well equipped. Nice soft comfy beds, and a good hearty breakfast just what you need if you've got a days march ahead of you.

A very friendly welcome from Ann, the most comfortable beds on our trip and a fantastic early breakfast to see us off. Ann also gave us a "heads up" on the best places to eat in Brampton and organised a taxi to take us there. Low Rigg is a working farm and offers fantastic value for money;it was a pleasure...

We stayed here on our Hadrian's Wall walk. Just up the road from the fabulous a Reading Room Cafe, Anne was about to get the fits in for milking but took the time to take us to a lovely room with large en suite shower. The views are superb and apart from mooing cows it was so peaceful. A big...

This is a nice place to stay on a working farm. The room was not huge but comfortable and clean. We appreciated the ground coffee and cafetiere in the room. The bathroom is across the landing, so not ideal but again clean and eveything you need. The taxi to Brampton for dinner added £16 to the cost (already the highest...

This place was marvelous. It's a working dairy farm and very active. We had a calf, just born, when we arrived. Another calf born while we were gone to dinner and a third cow was in the act when we left. Friendly owner, best breakfast in our 4-days of walking, and comfortable rooms. Only hitch is that the village does...

We were walking Hadrians wall. Can honestly say we had a lovely room very large and comfortable. We needed a taxi to Brampton kindly arranged by owner. The owner gave us a very warm welcome. Breakfast was a typical farm breakfast, very tasty.

This is a little out of the way and we were put in here by contours walking holiday tours. I can see why. All the B&B's they put us in were very lovely and this was no exception. This was the biggest of the working farms but the farm family still had time to make us feel at home. The...

Ann made us feel very welcome after a long day on the Hadrians Wall walk. In the evening, we had a very good meal with our fellow guests. The room was well appointed and the bed extremely comfortable.

Stayed here while walking Hadrian's Wall and absolutely everything from our host Ann to our room/bath to the food (special needs accommodated with a smile!) to the atmosphere to the last details - all perfect! Would love to stay again! Thanks for everything :)

“The entrance is right in front of the stables of the cows but don't panic, just do few steps and you'll find the house which has a wonderful garden with two big trees in front of it.”
