Spotlessly clean very comfortable B&B although more like a Hotel. Lovely breakfasts, attentive hosts and great location have already recommended to others looking for a trip to Cumbria. A very big thank you to Sue and Tim we will definitely be returning.

My wife and I stayed here just for a stopover from Scotland to Manchester. Next time we will definitely stay longer. The location is so lovely and quiet next to Hadrian's Wall with all its sights but just 20 min east of M6. The rooms are very clean and cosy. We can really recommend this B&B to everyone. The breakfast...

Tim and his wife were excellent hosts from start to end. They drove me to the pub as there was nothing nearby and arranged for the pub to have someone drive me back due to the late hour and the distance. The room and bath were excellent after a long day of hiking and tea snack options were the best...

Beautiful, updated building. Was once a pub, great room for shedding boots and warming up as well as a common room for guests who want some company. Breakfast was absolutely marvelous. The owner gave me some great directions for getting back to the Hadrian's wall path via a slightly easier way than what I had originally planned...a plus for local...

Thank you for your review, Dan. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. As for dinner arrangements, if booked in advance, we serve a 3 course meal at the Abbey Bridge. If there are only a few guests, we take them up to the local pub which is only 4 miles away. There are also many eateries...

A hidden gem that will not disappoint. Tucked away but near Hadrian's Wall walk, this accommodation proved to be excellent. Best breakfast of the week, prepared by the hosts who just knew where to source the best food. Our room was very cosy with all amenities but an added extra was the communal sitting room for guests. We didn't have...

I visited the Abbey Bridge Inn for the second time with some friends and we couldn't have been warmly received by the innkeepers, Tim and Sue! The accommodations are wonderful and the boot warmer with loaner sandals was a big hit (why haven't other inns that I've visited thought of this?!). We are all looking forward to visiting next year...

Stayed here for one night whilst walking Hadrian's Wall. We arrived after a tough days walk from Once Brewed. Rain, wind and mud for 16 miles doesn't do much to heighten your spirits but Abbey Bridge certainly does. A boot drier, flip flops, great accommodation and a lift to the local pub for dinner. Add to this, a residents lounge,...

We stayed at with Tim and his wife for one night as part of our Hadrians walk trail and found this little gem of a place after a long long trying day and although it was a bit of a frosty welcome was one the loveliest places I've been, nestled in beautiful surroundings... In all fairness we should have called...

Thank you for your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We apologise for the "frosty welcome", but we were genuinely concerned for your welfare when you had not arrived and it was getting dark! With mobile signal being intermittent, it can be difficult to contact people if they get lost on the way to...

This place is top notch and a real gem. The owners are lovely and could not do enough for you. Very peaceful and a wonderful breakfast. We stayed in the Triermain room. We could not fault it at all. We even purchased their lovely mugs.

Best B&B of 30 days in UK and Scotland. Great attention to details and little touches that suggest the owners were trying hard to differentiate themselves from the others. Very picturesque location with rehabilitated pub and old smithy shop set up to provide a great experience to weary walkers. Spacious room and double shower. Most excellent food and ambiance. My...
