Previous reviews nearly put me off as dogs are not our thing, but location ideal, very close to our son's house so booked. We're warmly welcomed by Brenda who asked if we liked dogs, on being told no we never saw them in the house. The room was extremely clean and a nice size. The ensuite was good with plenty...

Only go if you like dogs, as there are six dogs in the house and they go all over the place, in the dining room, in your bedroom, etc. There is also evidence of them outside, so avoid treading in dog dirt. There were four of us and one of our friends is disabled, so one of the rooms we...

We stayed here for one night during a hiking trip. We had to wait outside for a while as the landlady was in the garden and didn't hear the door or phone, but once that was resolved we were made very welcome in a comfortable room overlooking a field of emus, rheas and alpacas (I think). The bathroom was a little...

This really is the loveliest B and B that I have ever stayed in. I took my 5 year old grandson and he was mesmerised...not just by the wonderful location and the animals but by the bedroom and the sitting room that are full of memorabilia. The house is spotless, the gardens immaculate and full of interest even in November....

We stayed here for two nights over a weekend in August. It was great. The room is spacious and homey - do not expect sterile minimalism here, there are collections of knick knacks all over the place (and not a speck of dust anywhere). Lovely to stay in such a spotless place with a nice breakfast and friendly hosts. Very...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and were made to feel extremely welcome without being fussed over or feeling like we were in someone's house (which can be a risk in some B&Bs). We had room 1 which overlooks the sheep, llamas and emus and the beautiful rolling hills, stunning views on a sunny day. The room...

I regularly stay at Red Oaks when on business in the area. It is a welcome and serene retreat from work. Rooms are extremely comfortable and I feel very much at home. It is a great place to relax. I love the quiet rural location with farm animals in the fields outside my window. The farm is on the edge...
