My wife and I stayed at the Shelleven for two nights in March. On arrival we were greeted by Sue who was throughout our stay attentive, helpful and pleasant. We were shown to a spacious, bright, well appointed room with attractive views over the harbour and marina to the sea. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The house is...

My husband and I wore ourselves exploring the Irish Folk Museum. It was a lovely experience but we were very tired. Not knowing where to go for a place to stay, I turned at their sign on main road. We found Shelleven to be a townhouse at the end of a long set of row houses. When I did find...

My husband and I visited in February - the guest house was very attractive, the room was lovely, the owners were very helpful and pleasant and we enjoyed our stay. We would come back here again when next visiting Bangor.

When we arrived we were given a warm welcome by Sue who showed us to our room after checking in. It is all the attention to detail and extra little touches that made this stay so special. The room was beautiful and it was actually the first time I have stayed somewhere and couldn't wait to get back to the...

I really enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it. Staff were very friendly and helpful, ready to assist with any queries. The breakfast was excellent and the room very comfortable The location is convenient, a short walk from the centre of Bangor and bus/train station.

We found the guest house very welcoming, the property is immaculately clean , tidy and well kept , the owners have renovated the lower floor area and are moving through each room with great detail and effect with a real, passion for the hospitality industry. There is ample parking available on site which is a huge bonus , and you are...

I can not praise this place enough. The charming couple greeted us, with a smile about 10pm, showed us to our room (4) which was spacious, very clean and comfortable. In the morning we went down for breakfast, greeted again with a warm smile by Paul. Our brekfast was cooked to order, with a selection of cereals, fruits and yoghurts...

I would certainly book into Shelleven again. It offers excellent value for money and is a very pleasant place to stay. We were made very welcome and the breakfast was excellent. I was here on business this time but would come back for the pleasure of staying here again. It would be a great base for anyone wanting to explore...

Staying for first time for a family wedding in nearby Comber. This was one of our best ever Guest House stays, could not find fault with any aspect of our stay. Very warm and friendly welcome, super breakfast, very comfortable bedroom with all mod cons. This is a must if you intend to visit Bangor Northern Ireland
