I've stayed at Cairn Bay Lodge before. This goes back a few years before The Star Fish cafe opened. The food was amazing last time but this time around our dining area is now in a smaller room with plastic type chairs as opposed to the splendour of the old dining room which now houses the very popular cafe. Food...

Not many people are aware that this guest house runs a very impressive cafe catering for breakfast and lunches. There is a good selection of food you won't find elsewhere and it's always nice to try something from the specials board. Even the porridge is a step above the usual breakfast fare from a cafe. Staff are very friendly and...

Had breakfast with friends. I had heard this place was good and was not disappointed. The food, Staff, building make the experience memorable. Really nice place top marks. Varied menu and it all looks good. Only difficulty was making a decision off what to have it all looked good. Reasonably priced.

Took my husband here for the first time last week. Love the style of the decor with personal and random bits of furniture, pics, books, mags dotted about in every room. The staff are all superb, extra friendly, very efficient and the food of every description is gorgeous and freshly produced. Highly recommended.

The Cairn Bay Lodge is situated in a quiet area of Bangor overlooking Ballyholme Beach. We had a comfortable, well equipped, quiet room. The owners were welcoming, helpful and friendly. There is a varied choice of breakfast options. We would highly recommend the Cairn Bay Lodge and would definitely return again.

Called in after a walk just for a coffee. Three separate rooms to pick from. The two at the front have beautiful views of Ballyholme Bay the one at the back overlooks the garden. Staff were lovely. Even get a top up of filter coffee. Wasn't a problem that we weren't eating which was nice.

I arrived here after good reviews from friends. Was busy at 10-11am but staff helpfully set up another table. Two front rooms are used for dinng with a casual lounge area at the back. Parking at roadside or in a rear private carpark. Reserving tables is possible. The old house atmosphere remains and is to its credit with wooden lobby...

My favourite place in Bangor to eat!! The food is fantastic, with such a creative menu! I come back again and again for breakfast/lunch, and am never disappointed! It's in a lovely location, and staff are so friendly!

Went here for brunch with family. The grill I had was dry and unappetising. The bacon was the kind I was afraid to cut as the pieces might fly anywhere. The bread was tough. I looked around and saw everyone else sawing at it also. The black pudding was a half of one small dry slice. The cost was almost...

We've been three times in the last few months and each time the food has been amazing. Really imaginative and beautifully presented. At least three specials available on each occasion. The staff are super friendly and very helpful with our 5 year old too. Strongly recommend for a lovely light lunch.
