Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very old and dated, does not provide enough space for making your own meal at bed and breakfast, not enough food left by owner to make anything. Beds not comfortable, it’s overpriced. Son owns apartment under our room and partied a lot so sleep was not good at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Well what can I say!! My husband and I went for a long needed short break away to Bangor. We stayed at Ennislare House and had a wonderful time. The room we had was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. We had an en-suite, tea and coffee facilities, television and a hairdryer in the room. It was bright and airy and hot water immediately. Free Wifi and parking. We also had use of a kitchen with sandwich toaster, toaster, fridge, oven, microwave and glasses, crockery, cups and also a selection of cereals. I There also was a dining area in the kitchen and a laundry as well as a separate dining room and sitting room. The owners were a delight to know and were very helpful. Nothing was any trouble. The location was brilliant as we could walk into the town without any hassle. The train station and bus station were also within walking distance. I highly recommend Ennislare House to anyone at all. We were in a quiet area of the town so could relax without nightclubs booming late on. I want to thank Ann for our wonderful stay at Ennislare House and we will definitely be back again real soon.

Really lovely place to stay. The hosts are very kind and friendly. The accommodation is very comfortable and is in an ideal location with only a short walk in to Bangor Town centre. There is also onsite parking which is handy. I’d definitely stay here again

We visit Bangor few times a month but never stayed over night although it's a beautiful town. This tine we were heading towards Belfast on Sunday so we stayed one night in Bangor and booked Ennislare Guest House for the first time. Place was very cozy and clean and the rooms had a nice view. Parking is also a plus and also the short distance to the marina and the amusement park. What I would suggest would be maybe to have a bit more options for breakfast. Definitely we will book again if we ever stay the night in Bangor as it's such a lovely place and the owners are soo kind.

The owner was very pleasant and showed me to my room. Once in the room was not impressed at all the window was definitely one from the bathroom which I believe it was bath removed and put a small bed in furniture was very old. The tv was very small and the picture on screen was not watchable. The whole experience was one to remember left early and will not be back anytime soon. Would be interested if anyone else stayed in this room .

The room was basic but clean. Beds firm but comfortable. Could do with a deeper topper. Bathroom was spacious. Couldn’t get the TV to work. Didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed ok. For one night, the room was adequate but if I had been staying longer I would have wanted a chair to sit on.

We had such a warm welcome from our host Anne that we immediately felt at home. Availability of a lovely kitchen plus tea and coffee in our twin room . Comfortable beds onsuite and extra pillows. Anne didn't rish us out next morning and held onto our luggage so we could enjoy lunch and shop in bangor. Then if that wasn't hospitable enough she made us tea when we came back to collect our luggage and insisted he gorgeous husband Barney drive us to the station. If l could give more than 5 stars l would. It was a pleasant stay all round and Anne if you read this we definitely will be back to your beautiful guesthouse and thank you so much for you good old-fashioned irish hospitality. There is nowhere in the world to beat it. Áine Christa

We stayed here for just one night and the room was big and very comfortable. the only down side of it was the peole above us as they didn't stop walking most of the night and the floor creaked like hell. Apart from that, the breakfast is mainly cereal and toast that you prepare yourself but, if you are aware of it and, like us, small breakfasts are ok, then this is the place for you. Saying that, there are a few bars and restaurants nearby to choose from. I am not sure if there is enough parking space in front of the house as I think only 5 cars can park there.

We traveled to Bangor for a wedding so we stayed at Ennislare for two nights where we were greeted by really friendly and super nice staff, so that part was all good, but the reason I’m writing this review is due to the cleanliness of our room. Our baby is now crawling and each time she was on the room floor, multiple black, grey, ginger, brown hairs would attach to her fingers and toes, clearly showing the room hadn’t been hoovered at all. It was very gross and unacceptable. I also found that when you closed the blinds, strange sticky brown stuff came off on your fingers, so each night when I closed them, I had to put a towel around my hand. The next day after our room had been cleaned, the stray hairs just kept on giving, so I couldn’t let my daughter move around on the floor unfortunately. If we had gotten a cheaper deal for the room then fair enough, but for the money we paid, it was cleaned really poorly.
