After a long day and a disappointing AirBnB experience, we found the Salty Dog! They were quick to accommodate us even though it was a busy Friday night in the Bistro. The hotel was quaint and the climb up the stairs a bit daunting for my husband who has a health condition. But oh, it was worth it. We had...

Stayed in a spacious clean room with a view of Bangor harbor. The hotel is dog friendly if traveling with your best friend. Walked to town for dinner so did not try their restaurant. A very nice place to stay.

Probably the worst meal we have ever had. We called in today 1st May. When we got the menu we were told what wasn't on it. It didn't leave much, starters which could be made large and a few sundries. No chicken, pork, steak. We settled on burgers and chips. The burgers were tastless, no seasoning, the thrice cooked chips...

This lovely dog friendly small cosy bistro hotel is fantastic! They seem to have catered for all as would be just as suitable for families as it is for single travellers. The facilities are clean, the extras in the room very generous, lovely biscuits and lots of toiletries. I don't know if it was a coincidence but even the pillows...

Last minute decision to eat out. Not booked but accommodated to the full. Staff so friendly and helpful. Food so tasty. Children portion was an excellent size and suited our daughter perfectly and she loved her chocolate ice cream but not as much as I love the mousse. Will definitely visit again.

Stayed here with my Wife and my Dog in April 2017. Found it to be very relaxing. We had Bar Food and Breakfast which were both excellent. The Barman made a lovely Mocktail for my Wife. The attention of detail by the staff was very good even including the attention given to our dog. She was given a Dog bowl...

A nice impromptu lunch before the easter parade. Kids meals were good value, the shared platter was an excellent choice for the adults. We are always coming here as the food is normally spot on! The service is always good by the staff.

We had a beautiful room overlooking the sea, with a side view of the boats in the Marina! Sun was shining. Arrived early and checked in immediately-lucky for us our room was ready. The room was really lovely! Fresh and clean with a fabulous view! Our Chocolate Labrador who was with us was very excited about her sleep over! We...

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Mandy in particular sorted us out with a beautiful room. The hotel itself is in a great location and the breakfast was gorgeous. We will be back for sure. Thank you to the Salty Dog for our lovely stay x

We had lunch in the Salty dog while we were staying in the area. It was a nice place to eat however I was a bit surprised by the presence of so many dogs but the name does indicate that but I just did not expect them inside as we ate. The food was nice, a bit of a limited...

I am glad you enjoyed it. Just to note we have three dining areas and dogs are only allowed in one of these. We will always try to accomodate people looking foor a non doggy option.
