Pleasant enough room and hosts were very attentive. Breakfast is not for the faint hearted, although lighter options are available. Thought it a bit pricey for what is a 2 star hotel but was only staying one night.

Hi we are not in walking distance - it would take approx. 25 minutes to walk from the Old Manse to the entrance of Dalby Forest - you could get on a Whitby Bus which would drop you
almost at the entrance. Kind regards Valerie
