I needed a bed for one night in Rosedale Abbey - which I know well - and went for the White Horse which is by far the very best place in the village. It did not let me down. My room was excellent (and very well priced !) and the staff were faultless. A great reception which continued for the...

Had lunch on two separate days. The first day was sandwiches (Ham and Prawn) both tasty, well presented good value. The next day was Sunday lunch. Lamb was perfection, Pork was bland. Roast potatoes hard in the middle, Mash lumpy. Veg bland. Gravy bland. Venue lovely. Staff a credit to the business. Would still recommended a visit

The place wasn't busy considering it was lunchtime with only about half a dozen customers in....
