A fantastic little hostel. It was nice and cosy. The hostel was lovely and clean. Could not fault this little gem of a hostel. I will be going back soon. The manager was so welcoming. The facilities was second to none. I cannot wait to go back again.

This was one of the best places in the UK we stayed in. It was within reasonably close driving proximity to York, and the main attraction we were visiting (North Yorkshire Moors railway). A picturesque countryside setting with very few people, not many cars and great to just sit and enjoy the fresh air. The beds were clean and comfortable....

Myself and a large group of friends booked the hostel for our exclusive use over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Located in a lovely, picturesque village, the hostel is a converted school building. The living room is great, complete with a massive window, a huge table and comfy sofas. There are board games, magazines and books available for guests to...

If you prefer the smaller hostels and the 'traditional' YHA feel, this place is ideal. Modernised enough to be very comfortable yet still with that communal and homely atmosphere which makes our old hostels so unique and preferable. Good nights' sleep, spotless facilities, deep armchairs in the common room. Could do with some books but hey, you can always bring...

As always, YHA Dalby Forest is a home from home. We are always made welcome by Jenny, who is always so helpful. Always a bun fight to get into / use the kitchen at breakfast / tea time. Some people seem to want to use every surface and every pan just to cook a simple meal. If we cant get...

Not stayed in a YHA before, but I'm not sure you could get a better introduction than the yha in Lockton/Dalby Forest. Situated in the lovely little village of Lockton, we booked this yha as we were cycling from Whitby to Blackpool over one weekend for the Christie. Couldn't have asked for better accommodation, clean and spacious with loads of...

We stayed at two YHA hostels during our trip 'up north', here and at Ambleside. At both places, the rooms were small, with bunk beds only. The immediate vicinity of the rooms was what we would call 'over-engineered'. For example, heavy doors on strong closing springs, and automated light and fan systems in bathrooms and toilets, which at Dalby Forest...

We had the accommodation for ourselves (large group) - and it was a great place to stay. Located in a small village (with a small tea shop down the road) it's the best location to be based for a good day of walking. Range of rooms for various groups, enough loos and showers to cope - and just about enough...
