Little gem of a hotel situated on the hill just outside Saundersfoot town centre. We booked for a weekend getaway with friends as one of the couples had recently got engaged. When we explained this upon checking in we were given a free upgrade to a suite for our friends. All rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast, which...

We arrived late Friday night and had nowhere to stay due to a misunderstanding. We looked along the road and Claremont House looked the most welcoming. The door was open and we were immediately given a room. This is a very homely place. The bedroom, room 1, had the softest, most comfortable bed, we soon forgot our troubles and after...

Great location with parking, short distance downhill to the harbor. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was a little small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice in a lovely bright dinning room. Overall we had a good stay and would return.

Also provided were 2 comfy armchairs, dressing table, TV, ensuite and a window seat with great sea views. Internet could be a bit dippy (presumably because we were hight up), but...

This is a friendly, welcoming hotel. The personnel go that extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. I would definitely recommend a stay. It is in a great location to explore the cliff paths and coast.

We booked the family room with sea views as we wanted a bath too. The room was spacious but the views were a tad disappointing. The bath was too awkward to get out of due to its smaller length and the sloping wall next to it - I struggled to exit the Bath as there was no rail to assist...

Room was small, made smaller by large furniture, Double bed was quite hard but the hotel was very clean. Long narrow corridors with a lot of fire doors and stairs. You need to be fit to stay here as it is a steep walk from the beach( which is lovely).

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated in Saundersfoot, one of the most attractive places in West Wales. Saundersfoot, with its bustling harbour and vibrant village centre, lies at the foot of a beautiful wooded valley and is blessed with a choice of fine sandy beaches. This well-established resort abounds with water sports, sailing, fishing and boat trips. Low tide exposes a huge crescent of golden sand and enables beach walks to Amroth and Monkstone point. Close by are several other popular destinations, which offer the best of everything - spectacular uncrowded blue flag awarded beaches, stunning countryside, invigorating walks and numerous attractions. The hotel is within a few minutes walk of the village centre, the Glen beach, the harbour and the Pembrokeshire coastal path and cycle route. Rooms are all en-suite, some with breathtaking sea views. Family & less-abled suites available. All bedrooms are well-appointed with freeview TV, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. ... more   less
