We stayed at this hotel for two nights and were allocated room 351. This was an attic room and was only adequate for purpose. We had no privacy as anyone could just stare straight down through the velux windows. We had to sacrifice light for privacy. I banged my head of the sloped wall a number of times. Beware tall...

There is nothing special about the offering and I mean the food the ambience and the staff. It is a hotel with restaurant and offers a range of pub style food. Value is reasonable and on a rainy day in Stirling you are at least out of the weather.

Lovely hotel right in the heart of Stirling. Parking is available and free which is a bonus. The room I was in wasn't very big but spacious enough and clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I got a great deal on this for my 2 nights stay and would certainly recommend this. All the attractions Stirling has got to offer...

The staff, food and restaurant are the only saving graces for our 1 night stay in Stirling. Our room was the size of a walk-in closet. Very uncomfortable. The food helped save the day. We arrived late Saturday evening and when we went out to shop all the surrounding stores and restaurants were closing up at 6 pm

I was dubious about booking this hotel after reading reviews on trip advisor but it's in a prime location & I got a great deal on booking.com for B&B. As I had gotten such a good deal I decided to get a room upgrade (it was a night for our anniversary) just to make it a bit more special.....well lets...

We stayed at the golden lion hotel for four nights on a coach trip with km travel, from Chesterfield. As this was an old hotel it wasn't to bad, bar and lounge area was very good, also eating area was ok providing you was not disabled as there were steps to manage. Our room number 458 was ok for sleeping...

We called in at the Golden Lion on the off chance of booking a room for the night but were disappointed that it was full however the manager got the receptionist to ring around several different establishments till she found us a place for the night. He even negotiated a discount for us! We thought this exceptional service deserved a...

Accessing the Golden Lion hotel car park via the road beside the Thistle shopping centre, you approach a barrier and have to 'buzz up' to gain entry and then find a space. If like us, you require the lift rather than the 2 or 3 sets of back stairs the corridor to access it is quite a dark and industrial...

We stayed at this hotel to break up our long drive home North as I was 6 months pregnant. We booked well in advance and were allocated a bedroom on the top floor. The lobby area and reception is very nice but this was not reflected on the top floor however was fine for what we needed it for. There...

Glad I booked before reading reviews! It's a very old building, hence maybe not as perfect as some expect. Secure parking and a centrally located hotel - print off directions to car park though (on hotel website). Reception was quaint yet modern and comfortable. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and all staff were welcoming and very friendly. The hotel was...
