I've given this hotel a 4 star rating based on what it is, budget accommodation. We only saw one very pleasant member of staff who appeared to be running it single handed. If you are fussy dont stay here but for around £70 for a couple with breakfast on a Saturday night you're not going to get a Hilton!

Stayed here over night this weekend. Owners very nice and really friendly. Tried to book a family room as had a 10 year old with us booked the family room but would not let me do that alone and would only give me 2 rooms so ended up paying for a family and a single room I did not need....

Thank you for your review, i understood when we spoke that even on other hotels you had the same problem when booking through Booking.com. I think it was a problem with their website and i would have phone the hotel to confirm what was going on as you effectively booked a family and a single. I am sorry you did...

It was a Groupon special - £70 for two nights B&B - and four of us took two rooms. There are some interesting old houses in Southport and this is one of them [around 1820 Regency. Good parking up front and an impressive facade. We were checked in by the owner whom I detected was French, so I ventured a...

Thank you very much for your excellent review. I am not such it was myself who welcomed you at reception as we are all french but i would not have dare to say that your french was not good enough. I am very please when customers speak French with us and i think there was a misunderstanding there! In any...

Stayed for 4 nights while attending a work conference. Quick check in, very friendly owners and staff. Comfortable en suite room. Free wifi and toiletries. Good choice of hot and cold breakfast served in a comfortable breakfast room by a very friendly lady. Will use this hotel again next year.

Between me and my mum we have stayed here several times, and will return again when we are in the area. You can pay a little extra for one of the garden rooms, and it is worth every penny. There are only a handful of these rooms available, and they are located down a nice quiet corridor. The rooms have...

I only stayed overnight on the way to the Liverpool ferry. Checking was smooth. The room was good as was the en-suite. Location was within a short distance to the main street and cafes. The location was quiet. Breakfast was very good and early as I woke up well before the published hours. Given the tariff this was a very...

Every year we put new carpet, paint etc... as it is an ongoing process, all the time ! We are all nice French ladies then if it was not the usual, it was another very nice one! You are...

Stayed 1 night in this hotel, glad it wasnt any longer. The Hotel desperately needs refurbishing. It is dark and dingy. The bedroom is shabbily furnished and the bathroom was tiny with an avocado bathroom suite. The whole place needed a good clean. Breakfast was very disappointing. 3 slices of thin plastic covered cheese and 4 pieces of salami was the...
