Stayed with Ann and Hugh for 10 days and so sad it was not for longer. The Lodge was superb to stay in very clean and comfortable.Nothing is too much trouble and as Hugh says strangers are only friends they havn't met yet and now they are our friends. It was worth the trip from the Northeast just to meet...

We love Ilfracombe and love staying with Hugh and Annie. We feel like we are coming home when we stay there. Nice clean and comfortable room with great breakfasts and lots of chat! Hugh and Annie make you feel like old friends. We truly wish we could stay more often but sadly work gets in the way. But we will...

After reading outstanding reviews and viewing lovely pictures I thought I has bagged myself a bargin. I explained I would be bringing...

Th owners were very helpful and chatty, the b&b is one of the oldest and in continuous service as a b&b in Ilfracombe. We were made to feel very welcome and the breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay again.

My daughter and I were walking the SW Coastal Path. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in May when we walked through Ilfracombe. We had not planned on staying as our hiking itinerary had us in Woolacombe that night, 7 miles further. The town was too perfect and we dedided to stay. My daughter looked up and saw a 'vacancy'...

Building has been there many years as have the rooms, match that fact to your expectations and you won't be disappointed. Rooms are a bit cramped but everything is very clean and working. Hosts are very friendly and interested, breakfast was also good. Reasonable price. Parking was ok too, on street or in Church car park 10 metres away.

We only had 2 nights at the Acorn, not long enough. Hugh & Anne were the best hosts you could ask for. They even managed to retrieve my husbands bag containing his camera & laptop which he had left in the cab that we had taken from Barnstaple. How they did that we don't know but were so grateful. Lovely...

My husband & myself stayed here for almost a week whilst we were house-hunting in the area. Hugh & Anne are the nicest couple you'll ever meet, and made us feel very welcome right from the start. They were very helpful when we needed to stay longer than the original 3 nights we had booked & took a real interest...
