We stayed on one of the special Twixmas breaks, and for the cost including coach travel, it could not be faulted. The ambience of the public rooms beautifully decked out with Christmas decorations and warmed by a big open fire could not be faulted. The staff made us feel really welcome and along with the evening entertainment made it an...

After a 10 hour cramped journey we arrived at almost 8pm. We stayed on the coach until it went to the back of the hotel so my husband could use the disabled access. Went to our room, on the ground floor as requested. A lovely room, plenty of room for his scooter. Freshened up and then went for dinner, couldn't...

Just returned from four days staying at the duke of Gordon Kingussie travelling from peterlee to Kingussie took nine long hours due to unrealistic pick up times. The management at the hotel welcomed us with open arms as usual- meals, rooms all excellent unfortunately cairngorm travel don't seem to be able to organise the transport as they should but having...

We stayed here from 22nd Dec - 3rd Jan on a Christmas/New Year break (our 4th at this hotel). Warm, clean, comfortable, friendly with good, well prepared and presented, food and wonderful staff throughout. Along with quite a few other guests we sucumbed to the respiritory infection that seems to be sweeping Britain at the moment and so spent 6...

Travelled from Leicester by minibus to wetherby then Durham to Kingussie by coach with cairngorm travel - 11 hour journey. Duke of Gordon hotel welcomed us and rooms adequate but basic. Food was well prepared and presented with good menus every night. Excellent entertainment on New Year's Eve with good firework display. Unfortunately entertainment on other four nights very mediocre....

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to the Duke of Gordon Hotel. it was unfortunate that the weather got the better of us for the 'town treasure hunt', however we do have a wide selection of board games, jigsaws, meccano and Scalextric that are available in the Lounge at all times. We went with Cairngorm Travel who also own the hotel. The 11 hour journey was tedious and the pick ups and transfers could have been better organised to reduce the travel time but it was worth it when we got there. The hotel and area was lovely, the rooms very good and nice and warm, although the television was not...

As far as I'm aware this hotel is owned by Cairngorm Travel. We went as a group of ladies on their Mountains and Mistletoe tour on 20/11/16. This tour was fantastic and we all really enjoyed it. We were however allocated to another hotel as they had overbooked the rooms, but this didn't spoil it for us as the 4*...
