My wife and I stayed overnight on Saturday, 11th February, at the Regency Hotel on a special Valentine’s dinner, bed and breakfast deal, with the meals being served in-house at Hawarth’s Restaurant. The cost of the package was £190 for two persons. We were able to park our car on the Promenade close to the hotel when we arrived, where...

Party of 11 family stayed, meal for 15 people on the Friday night, staff great, food great, service wonderful. All the family who stayed at the hotel over the weekend said they thoroughly enjoyed their stay, the staff were great, rooms were brilliant and would recommend to anyone.

I have stayed at this hotel approximately 30 times over the last 10 years, which obviously means I'm impressed! The location of this hotel is perfect, on the northern end of the promenade, and a 10 minute walk into the town. All the rooms I've stayed in are well equipped, warm with modern on suite bathrooms. The breakfasts are delicious,...

Very small room, staff is always on a bad mood.... I've said so many times to the waitress serving breakfast "thank you, thank you" and she never replied a word to me.... never even said "you are welcome".... Very miserable staff.... room temperature is either too hot or too cold, and the respond of the staff is nothing we can...

Here a week on business. Used most facilities. Firstly the room: quality furnishings all round and a bed I struggled to get out of....really comfortable. The dining, breakfast and dinner reflects the quality of the hotel. Excellent. Public rooms are very good quality. Also a complementary shuttle into Douglas about two miles saved the walk or taxi. Excellent hosts

Staying here for the brilliant Manx Litfest. Old-style hotel with old-style values. Great staff. Warm welcome. Lovely room with excellent facilities. Great little touches like free soft drinks in minibar. Excellent Wifi. Had some great food in bar. Absolutely would stay here again.

I don't think that's exactly a high bar though. I was put in the 'Regency Lodge' which is basically a terrace house 100 yards down the road converted into few rooms. It was okay, probably a step up from your average B&B room. Very dated though and extremely hot as there's no kind of ac or fan. Wifi worked well...

The Rooms were great. Very spacious with comfortable bed and a big bathroom. Staff were great and there was a lovely breakfast in the morning. Located on the promenade. Lovely walk into town. The bar man who's name escapes me was excellent.

This is my second visit. Nothing is to much trouble. Rooms are spacious. Beds really comfortable and having an iron and ironing board was so helpful. I arrived at 10 am having caught an early morning flight from Gloucester. Room was ready . They provided hot snack. I left my tie behind. Two minutes later an assortment of ties arrived....

I have to agree with the comments of Maidstoneblue. I would like to add that he omitted to mention the friendly and professional service of the morning restaurant staff, down to remembering our idiosyncrasies, and those one the front desk who have been able to resolve all our needs. And thanks to the chefs, who nobody gets to see but...
