Staying for one night while here for work. Hotel is right on the front and I bet it could be a bit off if the weather was grim. It's a beautiful art deco style but looking a bit tired round the edges. However, it is clean and tidy and welcoming . Reception was very welcoming on arrival. Three places to...

Smallish room although it’s a single. The bathroom is small but adequate. Clean room, comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi is free. No safe, though. Not enough electrical outlets. The hotel is right on the beach so I’d say it would be great during the summer. No dedicated parking which was a large problem in that I had a terrible time finding...

We asked for, and got, a quiet room at the rear of the hotel. The facilities were very good, and the breakfast buffet was of a high standard. We are glad that the hotel maintains the tradition of a live pianist in the bar.

Really good hotel, has two restaurants, food nice, waiter service really good, rooms clean, the only thing that is a criticism that you pay more for a sea view most hotels I've stayed in never charged for this, Breakfast is plentyfull and fresh highly recommend

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the Empress, in a sea view room on level 3. The room is newly renovated and very comfortable, as everything we needed. The staff are friendly and excellent, and the food at the bar was pretty good. Slightly far away from the "city centre" but there is a bus stop (and horse tram...

A splendid stay on Douglas with a hotel that met all my needs. The conservatory bar is a splendid place to be. The food was good, particularly breakfast - though there was no fried bread. The room did its job.

This great hotel gleams at you from the promenade.A beast of a building stands out from the rest..with its look at me statement...with its green fronted glass...
