Sorry - also a non smoker so was unaware of this restriction, but at the bottom of the gardens near the tea rooms there is an open public pathway with bench seating.

They did reply but very defensive. They do not have “time to run around after guests”. At that point I gave up. Been there, done that, Ventnor next time, their loss. They really need to do a course in customer care, tact... More
