Stopped here for lunch before checking in to our holiday home. Had stopped for a drink in a pub further along but the menu didn't look very good so we went to the Steamer. And we were very glad we did! After a couple of beers we ordered food. I had the "oh my cod" burger. It was a massive...

Visited the Steamer with my parents, grandparents and fiancé during the bank holiday week for lunch. We each had a sandwich, which you have a choice or brown or white bread or a baguette and they all come with a very generous amount of filling (prepare to get messy whilst you're eating it!) and crisps and salad. All the portion...

Excellent food, brilliant service. The food is lovely and large portions as well. Well worth a visit. You must go, we frequent the steamer at Shanklin, every time we go to the Island. Always very busy and so many people remark on the food and service.

Beutiful place. Came here because im visiting friend on island. Had this place reccomended to us by hotel. Lovely seaside views and fantastic food. Little dissapointed with the wait on food. But understandable as it was very busy. Very warm welcomed service by the staff member by the board with red hair. And then a very chatty girl on the...

We came here to meet some family for lunch and it was really lovely. There is a large outer frontage with plenty of seating overlooking the beach. I had a most delicious and absolutely massive ploughmans which was really beautiful but massive! My husband had a surf and turf burger and my little one had fish fingers and peas. All...

We have been to the steamer inn many times, the portions are very generous however this year the prices have increased and the food quality decreased! We spent £63 for 4 adults 1 child for lunch. There was a hair in one of the meals, the tuna steak was so dry we sent it back , the goats cheese salad...

Wipe clean surfaces that were sticky, get your own menu and cutlery, queue for food and drinks for 20 minutes. Fast food quality at a snails pace. Not recommended if you have taste buds or any sense of self worth, smell, or sanity. Otherwise nice.

Popped into this lovely pub for a drink, the meals looked so tempting we stayed for dinner! Beautiful view from the seating on the veranda and staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered scampi, spinach & feta pie and a jacket potato all of which was excellent and substantial portions. Reasonably priced and you certainly get a lot for your...

This is the third time, I have visited The Steamer Inn in Shanklin and yet again, another lovely meal. All seven of us had a lovely meal and a great evening, with sea views. Also dog friendly, great bonus.
