Good location, good value, perhaps a bit tired but no worse than any similar establishment. Mine host Mike is a little gem for who nothing is too much of a problem. Breakfast is first class well cooked to order so all round happy customers

Rooms very clean. Clean bath towels and cleaned beds everyday. Tea coffee etc provided along with complimentary water supplied daily. Shower in room 5 pressure low. Power shower (Think cord needs replacing) And wifi dead spot. Did not work much in room 5 and when it did it was very slow and kept disconnecting. Big tv with plenty of channels...

Stayed there with family of four ( two kids 1&6 years) for one night(02/08/2016) stay and we received worst service from them( (old man) can't call him gentleman. He was very rude , at beginning he did welcome us as normal and introduce us about all areas and did not mention anywhere to restrict and said feel free if you...

Shanklin is my go to in iow. Sandown is a great beach and Shanklin is just the West end. Good welcome, decent room, big TV, private parking, quiet, en suite, good breakfast, easy walk to cliffs and to town centre/ supermarket/ fish and chips, motorbike meet on beach wednesday night. So all good? Yes.

Stayed in only single at hotel. Bad points - only tiny window at top is able to open, asked owner about it and he did not know, or seem to care, when main big window lock would be fixed so had to sweat it out in very small room in heatwave. Small single bed not comfy and mattress creaked, asked owner...

My cycling buddy and I should have been en route to Jersey by Condor ferry, but that increasingly unreliable company let us down. So, after a quick phone discussion, we agreed to head to the Isle of Wight for a 2-day cycle tour. Only problem was that the Condor ferry failure had robbed us of our pre-booked and paid for...

Our room was a good size, comfortable and quiet. We were welcomed and given access to the house lounge, bar etc. St Georges House is in a good location for Shanklin with easy walking access for dinner and the seafront. Breakfast was a decent start to the day too. No complaints and good value.

Even sat on top of the WiFi extender it was more miss than hit if it would work, not up to the job! OH upon arriving for breakfast in the empty room being told we can't sit there and asked to move! However...

Ok for a short stay, Reasonable accommodation for the price, accepts pets, but don't expect too much. It's very much a bed and breakfast, a short walk to the beach but a steep climb down to it. Plenty of local shops if you like that sort of thing.
