We had to change our Friday date at the hotel to the Thursday to make sure we were home to West Lothian in time. Our 24 hrs were filled with delightful walk on local Ravensheugh Beach before booking into the Hotel. Our room was comfortable with an amazing sea view. We had dinner in evening which was lovely and a great breakfast in morning, which fuelled us for an amazing coastal walk around cliffs. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful, we had no complaints. It is now embedded in our memory as last stay away, but hopefully although illegal to get to just now in the future it will be very tempting to pop down to Dunbar again for a pleasant overnight stay.
We had been trying to stay there for some time, but due to various mishaps had to shift our dates a few times. The management were very helpful and accomodating, and we finally managed a visit. Indeed all the staff were excellent, from the watresses to the chef, who prepared lovely cooked breakfasts and tasty dinners. The seaview from our room couldn't be bettered On the downside, the bathroom we had was in dire need updating and redecorating. Thanks for making us so welcome
We had a pleasent stay at Bayswell Hotel. The view is breathtaking, but what really stand out for us were the excellent food choices - everything was fresh and delicious and exceeded our expectations. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. I'd would very much recommend the rooms with a hot tub.
Lovely hotel and location. Rooms are a little tired but sea view is excellent. One thing I rate about this hotel is the excellent breakfast and dinner. I’ve stayed at many hotels for this budget and for business but I would say the the food and friendly staff was a pleasant experience. Love to visit again outside Covid-19 and in the spring or summer.
Hot tub room was very spacious and very comfortable. View from outdoor hot tub over the Firth of Forth was excellent and room being entered by own outside door meant no hotel noise. Hotel very well set up with Covid-19 precautions and plenty hand sanitiser points. restaurant was quiet, mid-week in November (to be expected!), but service was great and food choice excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Nearby attractions at John Muir Country Park are easily accessible by a short drive and John Muir Alpacas were an excellent outing. Dunbar High Street (and Harbour) are a 5 minute walk away.
