Great hotel and friendly staff, we used this hotel as most hotels in Edinburgh were either booked or as usual double the price because of the xmas market. We get the bus from just around the corner in the village, its 17 mls away and can take up to an hour to get to the city but they run every...

We had booked a classic double room - £95/night. £65 would've been the top end of what it was worth. The room was cozy but could do with a bit of a facelift..... Cobweb on curtain pelmet, room smelt of stale smoke and window wouldn't open so we couldn't air it. Nice big zip-link bed, but one of the mattresses...

Today I visited this lovely hotel in Haddington for lunch. The food was superb ...... I had soup of the day, parsnip and apple which was simply delicious followed by a hot smoked salmon fish cake which was just packed with hot smoked salmon and utterly delicious. I have many food intolerances and the delightful staff make me feel so...

Was fairly disappointed when we visited here at weekend. Was here for a wedding. Pictures on website make it look beautiful and picturesque. However the hotel is out dated. Badly in need of investment. Rooms are poor and old looking, small and old fashioned. Need upgrading. Food was good however and drinks are reasonably priced. Could however turn this hotel...

The public rooms are attractive and comfortably furnished. By contrast our bedroom, furnished and decorated in dreary tones of brown and yellow, urgently needed improvement. The small internal bathroom was poorly equipped, and the black mould surrounding the bath would have been unacceptable in a guesthouse charging £60 a night, let alone a hotel charging more than twice as much....

Plenty of parking just on the edge of town, we had room 11 at the front with a very large bed all the necessary facilities were available in the room -...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It really does give the staff a much needed boost for all the hard work they do to create a warm and welcoming home from home here in Haddington. We look forward to seeing you again when you are next passing through. Kind Regards Duty Manager
