Went with my wife for a cheeky afternoon tea as her friend couldn’t go as arranged. I really glad that she couldn’t as this was a fantastic treat and we enjoyed every morsel. You must give it a try. Only downside is it was virtually empty......but that’s due to COVID and not the establishment

Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly welcome on arrival and great fuss of our two dogs. Allowed to take dogs in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Even provided a sausage for the dogs. Archie and Milo would definitely be keen to visit again.

We've been visiting monthly for 12 years now and still return for more visits. Ideally located for the city centre (when it's open) but still such a warm welcome from the GM and the team make it such a special place. The service and quality of food is amazing. Well done to Unsal, Harry, Alessia, Steph, Sam, and all so many more to mention. Your doing an amazing job and we'll keep coming back while ever we experience your warm friendly service and welcome. Thank you all.

Really lovely welcome. Felt safe and cared for during our stay. Family room was a twin room plus double so great to have space. Dog friendly hotel. Walk along the river 2’ away. Nice to stay out of Durham for a change.

We were made very welcome on arrival. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. All staff pleasant, helpful and made you 'feel at home. Breakfasts and evening meals very nice. Lovely view overlooking fields and woodland. Although on main road we didn't find it noisy. Would definitely go back if in the area.
