Stopped here for 3 nights as it is a short walk from the city centre, but has loads of parking. Unfortunately, a major construction project has just started next door, so the noise and vibration was awful when we arrived. But the hotel itself is lovely, the restaurant is bright and modern, the food is good, and the rooms are...

Beautiful location near the train station. The hotel has a great atmosphere and the hosts are very friendly and seem passionate about the hotel and making sure all guests are comfortable. Thanks again for the hospitality and for letting me borrow your convertor plug! I enjoyed the beers in the lobby and the restaurant is truly worth a try. I...

Our hotel room was spacious and very clean the bed was massive and comfortable . Food in the hotel is really good , there is a lovely woodland...

We visited the Kings Lodge on a Thursday lunchtime after searching for a dog friendly pubs in Durham. The place was lovely, newly refurbished smelling of new carpets. Very cosy with great staff who made us and our dog very welcome. The food was excellent, I had the seafood linguine which is the best I've had for a long time....

Booked in on a very cold afternoon. Great welcome from the staff but found that the room was cold and the radiator not working. Also the TV had no signal. I reported these facts and the room was changed inside a few minutes. The location of this hotel is superb. A few minutes walk and you are right in the...

Went today for a family lunch, not very impressed my wife ordered the tomato and basil soup which she had to leave because it was very heavily salted. My Durham Gumbo was again salty and greasy I ate it but sat at home now I wish I hadn't. My wife's Sunday lunch was ok but again the Yorkshire puddings were...

We came here after recommendation in December after walking dogs around Durham & were impressed by food & the friendly atmosphere. My husband then booked for a 1 night stay with the dogs for my birthday & I was not disappointed. Room was fabulous, food gorgeous ( in fact best steak I have had for some time) & staff so...

Having decided to go away and leave our families their festivities this year! We stayed at the Kingslodge Inn, Durham for 4 nights over Christmas. We chose this hotel having stayed at a sister hotel The Hogs Head, Alnwick earlier this year. The Kingslodege Inn is just fabulous. It has been refurbished and modernised but yet retains its charm and...
