Pleasantly situated for walking around town. My room (7) was spacious& quiet, and the bed comfortable. Decor in the public areas is showing its age, and theres no lounge. Breakfast was adequate. Parking is a problem, and at £90 I think it's a bit overpriced.

Very helpful owner who moved me from room 8 which does not have a toilet to another room. Only problem was it was the coldest night of the winter and the room was quite cold. However, it was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was great. Would certainly go there again.

Lovely little gem of a hotel. The owners warm, welcoming and truly care about getting it right - nice little touches evident - lots of local produce and products, great location and excellent breakfast - especially the kippers!

Nice welcome upon arrival - Stayed in room 10 which was small - bed pushed up against the wall which feels very claustrophobic, the wardrobe had no doors on as I think it may have been a struggle to open them. Good shower, complimentary shower products, room very clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice...

On arrival, we were told we had been placed in a better room than we thought and it would cost the same amount. Lady was extremely friendly upon arrival, took us to our room and made sure we had everything. She checked tea and coffee, towels and shampoo etc. She showed us which keys we'd need to get in the...

Stayed here last night. The most comfortable bed. Lovely spacious room and delicious breakfast. On the second floor but offered to carry our bags up for us. Even brought fresh milk for our cup of tea.

Friendly staff and very clean. The basic single room is located at the top of the hotel (four flights of stairs and no lift) and is very small, which isn't a problem in itself. While it has its own shower and wash basin, it doesn't have its own toilet and guests staying in this room have to use a separate...

Stayed here overnight for a business meeting nearby. Hotel is spotless, staff are very friendly and freshly cooked breakfast was amazing. Hotel is handily placed, less than 5 mins walk from the town centre. I had an attic bedroom and whilst it was small, it was clean, tidy and had a very powerful shower. Free wifi also was a bonus....
